Chapter 4
After our exploring and ice cream trip I go home. "See you guys tomorrow at school!" I shout across the street. As soon as I walk through the front door I go in the living room to see my parents watching a movie. "Hi mom. Hi dad." I say. "Hi, did you have fun today?" My mom asks. "Yeah I did" "good! Well you should go to bed now so you aren't tired for school tomorrow." My dad says. Usually a dad wouldn't be supportive about you hanging out with boys all day but my dad trusts Ethan and Gray and they are the only two boys I'm allowed to hang out with. Or even talk to. "Ok. Bye mom. Bye dad." I say. It has always been a little awkward with me and my parents. I don't really know how to start a conversation with them, and I'm an only child so it is awkward in the house. I run upstairs, put on my pj's, brush my teeth and go to bed. Just as I was about to fall asleep I get a text from Ethan saying *goodnight Rachel! ily ❤️* I smile and turn my phone off without replying. I quickly fall asleep.
