"Danny? What's wrong?" Phil asked worriedly, pausing what he was doing when he heard his best friend crying down the phone.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. You were right, he's an idiot," Dan sobbed down the phone, walking quickly away from the house.

"Danny? Slow down. What happened? Where are you?" He asked, shutting his laptop and grabbing his coat.

"James found out I'm transgender, he kicked me out," Dan told him, tears falling down his cheeks like a thunderstorm.

"That little bastard," Phil muttered, sliding his converse shoes on and heading out of the door, "Where are you?"

"St. Peters street," Dan answered, looking for the nearest street sign.

"I'll be there in five, stay where you are," Phil instructed before hanging up the phone and running up the road. James only lived around the corner from his house anyway, there was no point catching a taxi. He ran round the corner, speeding up even more when he saw Dan. Panting, he came to a stop, looking at the crying boy.

"Phil," Dan stuttered, collapsing into him, his arms wrapping around his neck, his head falling into his shoulder.

"Hey, shh, Danny, it'll all be okay," Phil whispered, hugging Dan closer to him. He wasn't sure if Dan was male or female today so he stuck with the gender neutral 'Danny'.

"He yelled at me and pushed me over," Dan mumbled, looking up at his best friend.

"He can't hurt you again okay? I swear he'll never lay a finger on you again, not if I can help it!" Phil exclaimed angrily.

"But he kicked me out. Now I don't have any of my stuff and nowhere to stay!" Dan muttered.

"Don't be silly Danny, you can come home! Your bedroom is exactly as you left it and you still have some of your things there!" Phil told him, pulling away from the hug and smiling at the younger boy.

"Really? You'd let me back after all I did!" Dan asked, shocked.

"Of course!" Phil exclaimed.

"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!" Dan exclaimed, bringing Phil into another hug and pecking his cheek.

"It will always be your home okay?" Phil muttered with a soft smile.

Dan nodded and grabbed Phil's hand as they started to walk home, hurrying a bit faster as it started to rain. When they got home, Dan stepped inside happily.

"Ah, home sweet home!"
