Something that I wonder is why Ameila's parents keep fighting. They always seem to be fighting and Ameilia hates it. I also wonder why Amelia's mom is hurting. Amelia keeps saying it hurts her mom to get on her hands and knees to clean so she misses some spots and Amelia has to clean them herself. One last thing I wonder about this book is what Amelia's position is on slavery. I'm pretty sure she's against it but sometimes it seems like she's for it.
