"hey i forgot to ask... can you go to my boxing match tonight?" luke's lips twitches into a cute smile. as he started placing a plate of food in front of me. "i know you don't like me boxing but at least give it a try again please." he begged sitting in the chair next to me. "you used to love to come and watch," he smiled. "cheering me on in every single match i was-"

"that was before that mark guy knocked you out-" i intervened. "but i did beat his ass the next match." he retorted quickly. "it's still a no luke... i just hate seeing you get hurt." i sighed. "but this is going to be the biggest match i've ever had! plus you're my good luck charm. you always have, i've never lost a match while you were there with me or i talk to you first. that one i lost because you had to leave early. pretty please ariel!" he begged being sure to childishly drag out the please. "fine," i laughed. "hello lucas," my mother smiled coming down the stairs.

"hi mom i made breakfast for everyone." he turned to her smiling as she tightened the strings on her robe. my mom loved luke and as much as he's been in our lives he's basically like a son to my mom. shortly after a tall dark haired man walked down the stairs behind her fixing his tie kissing her on the cheek. "see you tonight," he smiled waving bye to everyone. luke nudging my hand wiggling his eyebrows . "looks like someone had fun last night," he whispered making me laughing. she quickly stops glaring at the both of us making us instantly shut up. "don't you two have school or something today?" she sassed. "no were on a break," i quickly say shoving more eggs into my mouth. "why? what for?"

"honestly i don't know and i won't question it," i laughed. "of course you wouldn't," she laughed. "i'm going on a date tonight," she smiled. "can you pick me out something to wear tonight while i'm at work?" she asked. "sure but can i go to luke's boxing match tonight please?" i beg childishly mocking luke. "yeah please," he added.

"is she coming?" calum yelled from the back of the dressing room searching for his stash of liquor. "yeah she said she'll be here in a little... why?" i questioned know calum had no reason to want her here. "ashton your best mate-" he started.

"not too sure about that!" i interrupted. "well ashton, he's coming today." he simply laughed. "i don't want her to feel awkward an i definitely don't want you to get distracted." he continued. a light knock on the door caught our attention. i quickly scramble to get it knowing only by the small and soft demeanor of it, it could only be ariel. "i... i-i wasn't sure if y-you'd still be in the same room." she laughed plopping down on the bright red couch placing her bag on the floor. "i should probably get d-dressed," she mumbled. "but aren't you already dressed?"

"i'm in sweatpants luke!" she said rolling her eyes. "hey don't roll your eyes at me, i think you look nice in that and your hair is straightened i-"

"i do not plus i decided to wear that dress you bought me last christmas that i never wore, mainly because i don't go anywhere." she said smiled as she started pulling out the form fitting grey dress, my denim jacket i've searched everywhere for and a pair of fenty creepers. she laughed a little "i didn't want to stand in the heels i had bought for it all day, if i did by the end of the match i'd probably be the one on the floor in pain," she laughed.

"no you're not wearing that here not with these type of guys around and i won't be around to be there and help so no you're fine with just the sweatpants!" i reprimanded. "luke you're not my d-d..." she stops quickly making a smirk tug at my lips. "i'm not your what ariel?" her cheeks started to turn a bright shade of red.

"... luke i'm wearing the dress. i don't care." she's muttered lowly kicking off her shoes. "hey were you wearing my clothes?" i questioned. she slowly shimming down her grey sweats and pulling off her shirt. "not anymore," leaving her in her matching pale pink lace set. "luke stop staring you've seen me naked before." she said barely above a whisper turning around embarrassed. it's true but the sight is always amazing i can't help it i watch as she stepped into the dress pulled it over her curves fitting perfectly against her body and the way it fit her perfectly. "fuck-"

"what?"

"nothing... i-i was just going to say your hair looks nice i haven't seen it straight since freshman year." i smiled mentally face palming myself. "would you like to go out to eat with me and the guys... you'll have a reason to wear your heels." i reasoned. "yes luke i'll go," she laughed. the room went silent for a while as she tied the laces to her shoes. "luke?" she says shyly walking towards me.

"thank you," she looked up at me smiling. "for what?" i ask confused but what's new i'm usually confused about everything. "for everything thing... for being there when i really needed someone."

"that's what i'm here and what i'll always will be here for," she engulfed me into a hug but then she let go stopping for a moment. getting onto her tippy toes making a small fist into my shirt pulling me down toward her. i... thank you," her sudden gust of confidence is slowly fading seeing as she's starting to get nervous. i can only give her a crooked smile taking her chin between my fingers and pulling her...

"luke?" someone yelling opening the door making ariel quickly back away looking over almost falling for over the wooden table. "hey everybody," ashton giggled walking into the room. "hi," she said barely above a whisper. she quickly muttered "s-sorry luke i-i won't do it again," with her eyes fixated on the tile floor as she walked back to the couch. fuck! great timing irwin.
