Part 8- Can't Be

Before leaving to the airport, she stopped by Chase's house. He had given her a watch as a gift. After giving her the necklace they made love again. She had fallen a sleep right after.

When she finally got up she noticed that Chase had left a single red rose on his pillow. She picked up the rose and smelled it. There was a note telling her that he had to leave for work earlier than expected and that he would talk to her later on that night. Sasha looked at the clock on the nightstand it was almost eleven and she still needed to take a shower. Her body ached in a good way as Chase took her to the moon and back the night before and again that morning. As she eased out the bed she headed to the shower. After a fifteen minute shower she quickly dressed and headed downstairs.

She walked down and in the kitchen there on the counter was a ham and cheese croissant from Arties. "He treats me so good!" She said to herself. She looked through the drawers looking for a knife when she found a nine millimeter gun staring back at her. "Oh, shit, what the hell!" She said out loud as she quickly closed the drawer. It scared her so bad she was shaking. She grabbed her purse and overnight bag and headed out the door.

She made it to the airstrip thirty minutes before the plane was expected to take off. She had mostly gotten over the shock of finding the gun earlier that morning but the first chance she got she was going to ask Chase about it. Stepping on the plane the pilot greeted her and the stewardess fixed her a drink. She loved flying on the company jet. It was only used when an emergency meeting with a client was called.

She had never been to Esquel, Patagonia before but she heard it was beautiful. She was hoping to see some of the landscape while she was there. She had an eleven hour flight so she would have enough time to review the contracts. Staring at her phone she scrolled through the pictures of her and Chase. "You are just so adorable when you sleep," she said looking at him sleeping like a baby. Images of the previous night bombarded her head. The way he owned her body had her losing her breath. She had to stop thinking about it, because she knew it would be a couple of days before she would be able to see him.

Chase arrived at headquarters with a desk covered in Hershey kisses. As he got closer to the desk, he could hear the guys snickering. "Very funny you assholes," he said picking up the candy and dumping them in the trash. He sat down when he heard his phone beeped. He opened it up and a picture Sasha blowing him a kiss appeared. He smiled thinking about the night before.

"I think my boy is whipped!" he heard Charlie say in his Tennessee drawl. Everyone looked at Chase and laughter filled the room.

"I might be whipped but at least I'm getting some," he said as the crowd laughed louder. Charlie closed his mouth.

The Commander came out the office and told the team he needed to see them.

"Okay, I just got the Intel straight off the press. Vega is headed to Esquel and the deal is supposed to take place a day after tomorrow. I want you all to go undercover. Chase, Emilio Hernandez will be your contact. Emilio has included you on the land extraction so you will have to attend the meeting. Vega's lawyer Zane Carlton is out so they sent a replacement. Her name is...," he said looking through the file, Sasha Worthington.

"Did you say Sasha Worthington?"

"Yeah, she works for Martin, Rogers and Smith." Chase's heart dropped. "What's wrong Denson, it looks like you seen a ghost. In the file we have the most current photos of the people you will be meeting." As Chase opened the file, pictures of Emilio, Vega and Sasha came into play.

"Isn't that your girl?" He heard Tim say from behind him.

"Denson, what is going on here?" He heard his Commander say.

"Sasha is my girlfriend. I can't believe this shit. Oh god! She just left an hour ago." Chase stood up and told the group, " it's time to leave."
