*Back to Avery's perspective*

"The race is really soon. Like tomorrow night," Jax said as we lie down in his room. He was playing with my hair as I played with the buttons on his shirt.
"Well you taught me well, so I'm not worried."
"That's good," he said getting comfortable.
I lied my head on his chest and listened to the quick thumping of his heart beat.
"Avery," he said in a low whisper.
"Yes?," I asked closing my eyes.
"Be careful. If anything happens, I don't know what I would do with my life."
"Jax," I said looking up to him. "I'll be fine. You told me I'm doing great. I trust you."
"Okay," he nodded. He pulled me even closer to him and kissed me. I continued to kiss him and play with his hair. He turned me over so I was on the mattress and he was above me.
"I love you," he said holding my face in his hands.
"I love you too," I said grabbing his neck and kissing him again.
"Jax your cousin and uncle are here," Rayne said as she stepped into his room. She saw us and her eyes widened. "I'm sorry..I-" she was at a loss of words.
"We'll be right down Mom," he said without taking his eyes off of me. I was blushing a deep shade of red. Fully embarrassed.
She nodded and walked back out of his room. He laughed and caressed my cheek. "Where were we?"
"Just about to meet your family who is downstairs," I said sliding out from under him. I smiled and watched him fix his hair.
"Wow Avery," he laughed. "How rude."
I winked and grabbed his hand so we could walk downstairs.
"This is Avery, she's staying with us while her parents are in Paris," Rayne said hugging me. "She's such a sweet girl."
"She looks sweet," I'll assume Jax's cousin said.
"And she looks like my girlfriend," Jax said lacing his hand with mine once again. I blushed and nodded.
"I'm Jared if you ever want to change that," Jared said with a smirk. Jax rolled his eyes and squeezed my hand.
"I don't," I smiled as I grew closer to Jax.
"Jax, do you mind helping me set the table?," Rayne asked with a smile no one could say no to.
"Of course Mom," he said letting go of my hand. I sat down on the couch with Jared following behind me.
"Why are your parents in Paris?," he asked sitting down on the couch across from me.
"Uhm, their anniversary I think?," I said leaning against the back of the couch.
"I've never been to Paris," he said with a pout.
"Me neither. They leave me here with the neighbors if you couldn't tell."
"Jax seems closer than a neighbor to you though," he winked.
"He is," I smirked. "Shoulda seen us ten minutes ago upstairs."
He laughed and clapped. "Jax actually gets some?"
"No no," I laughed. "Not that far."
"What are you kids up to?," Jax's uncle asked sitting down next to Jared. I shrugged as Jared replied with "nothing much."
"I'm done," Jax said running into the living room and practically falling on my lap. I screamed and started laughing. He sat up and kissed my cheek and lifted me up so I could sit on his lap. I felt my cheeks flush but stopped when he ran his hands through my hair to calm me down.
"Dinner's ready!," Rayne chirped from the kitchen. Jax lifted me up and stood me up, but never letting go of my hand.
  My phone rang, Mom.
"I'm gonna take this," I whispered to Jax before I answered it and ran to my room.
"Hi hunny!," my mom said in a cheery voice.
  "Hey," I said.
  "How's the Brook's place?"
"Oh it's great, Jax and I don't hate each other anymore."
"Well we are staying longer than we thought. We're staying here for two months instead of one. Okay?"
  "That's fine."
"Are you sure Avery? I don't want you to be upset."
"Mom I'm sure," I said with a smile. Jax walked in and sat beside me, knowing who I was talking to.
"Okay Avery, I wanted to tell you that if anything happens and you want to leave the Brook's house, you can stay with your brother. He said you are more than welcome to stay there."
Jax kissed my shoulder and played with my hair.
"Mom I promise, I'm fine here. They treat me great."
"Because you're the queen, my queen," Jax whispered to me. He kissed my neck and I leaned my head back.
"Okay hunny, I love you," she said. And so does your father."
"I love you guys too," I managed to spit out.
"Are you okay Avery? You sound nervous."
"I'm fine!," I chirped as Jax bit my neck. "Bye Mom!"
I hung up the phone and turned around. Jax was still fixed on kissing me.
"J-jax, we have company downstairs," I said biting my lip.
"That's why we have to be quiet," he hummed. I giggled as he picked me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and gripped his shoulders.
"Jax! Avery! Is everything alright up there?," Rayne called from the bottom of the staircase.
"Yeah Avery's mom called!," Jax yelled as he set me down. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down the stairs.
"She's staying in Paris for two months now," I said.
"Oh, yes she confirmed that with me," Rayne smiled.
"Okay let's eat!," Jared said sitting down at the table.
We ate and had small talk the rest of the time his family was over. After dinner, the three of us all went outside to hang out.
"So how long have you two been together?," Jared asked.
  "A couple weeks."
  "Cool..."
  °°°°°
I woke up in my bed with pajamas on and under the comforter. Jax was on the floor snoring with a blanket from his room. I got up and lied on top of him.
"Babe," I whispered as I kissed his head.
He groaned and turned a little but disregarded me. I wrapped my legs around his waist and leaned down so my head was against his chest.
"I love you Jax. I promise i won't let you guys down tonight. No one is going to be in any trouble." I wiped a tear that fell down my cheek and kissed his cheek.
