So as it turns out. My parents were racers. The reason they decided to come to Paris for a month was to find the guy who was the top leader of the races. I guess it has been going on for years.
"Then how come you never got me a fancy car?" I pouted and sat down by Jax.
"Because we didn't know if you'd find out quicker that way," my dad said.
"Babe, they wanted to keep you safe," Jax said rubbing my hand with his thumb.
My dad looked at Jax in disapproval, eventually just let it go.
I leaned my head on his shoulder and let out a sigh.
"I just hate that we're all involved in this," I said almost crying.
Jax kissed my forehead and rubbed my thigh. "Darling, its not your fault that we're in the position we're in, don't cry baby girl."
My dad stood up. "Is there something going on between you two?"
Jax and I looked at each other and bit our lips. "Yes," Jax said.
"So you two are telling me, you've spent over a month together. Free to have sex when Rayne isn't there. Jax Brooks, you could have gotten my DAUGHTER pregnant!"
Jax looked so scared. I clung to him and held his hand.
"Dad, don't hurt Jax. I love him," I said quietly.
"Avery you love him, because you live with him and he has sex with you to take advantage of you're time there!"
"Darling," mom said trying to defend me.
"Sir, I really do love your daughter."
"Are you sleeping with my daughter?"
"Well uhm, it's funny because uhm. Uhm.. Uhmm.."
"And would you have sex with her if she didn't live with you?"
"Sir, in school I never had the balls to ask her out. We clicked at my house. Things lead from there."
My dads face was red. I didn't understand why he was do upset. I've only had sex with Jax like...a few times.
Damn.
Staring at Jax with the fear of my dad in his eyes, made me want to cry. He even looked beautiful while crying.
"He's just jealous because you call me daddy now and not him," Jax whispered ever so quietly in my ear. I giggled and rolled my eyes.
"Avery, you'll be staying with your brother until your mother and I come back. I do not need a pregnant high schooler."
"Dad, why don't you trust me?!"
He rolled his eyes. "If I hear that you're not staying with your brother when you all go home, I will have you stay in a jail cell. You're uncle would love to have you."
I cried and shook my head. "I'll stay with Dee."
My dad nodded his head. "Our allies already captured the guys after you. You're all safe. No more racing. But there will be no living together for the month you have left without us. Got it?"
I slowly nodded and hugged Jax tightly.
We went back to the airport soon after that. "I love you Jax," I told him for the millionth time since we arrived at the airport.
"We'll figure it out. Alright? It's summer break anyways. He didn't say we couldn't be together. He said we couldn't live together."
I nodded and kissed him. He smiled and leaned his head on me.
Leah and Michael decided to stay in Paris for one more night. They bought tickets for tomorrow. Kacey is going back with us, but he was staying in second class with this girl he met before we got on.
"Avery, what of we eloped?"
"Jax we are not eloping!"
He laughed. "I was joking. I want everyone to see how beautiful you are in your wedding dress on the beach. It'll be a wedding no one will ever forget."
I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Avery Karter," he said pulling a box out of his pocket. "This isn't a proposal, but a promise. That we might be married one day? That we might start a family together. That we might grow old and die together?"
I have only been with him for a month, but I couldn't be more in love with this guy. I smiled up to him and nodded before kissing him. He kissed me and slid the ring kn u finger. It was a small ring with a small diamond on it.
"Its small and beautiful just like you," he whispered in my ear.
Yep. I was in love with him.
