--Chicago's P.O.V--
"Any special reason on why you want to walk to me to class?" I asked Josh. "I barely know you."
Josh smiled, unlinking his arm from mine as we arrived in front of the gym doors. "What? Am I not allowed to try to get to know you by walking you to class? You are interesting."
I raised my eyebrows at him. "Really now? You want to get to know me? How am I supposed to know that you aren't just trying to get into my pants?"
The blue haired boy laughed. "One, you have a boyfriend that would probably beat my ass whenever he had the opportunity and two, I am a gentleman, Chicago."
"You, a gentlemen? I'll believe it when I see it."
"You are the one talking, Chicago. You dyed your hair just to rub it in Elodie's face. I wouldn't call that being a lady."
I scoffed. "She's evil. I don't understand how you are dating her. She's been mean to me since first or second grade."
Josh looked at me, his mouth dropping open. "You think I'm dating Elodie? Really? Tyler is the one that's dating her. I absolutely can't stand her."
My mouth dropped open from shock. Josh, when I first saw him, gave off the "I'm a dick," vibe and someone like that sounded like Elodie's perfect match. However, Tyler, who was extremely sweet and kind based on the one conversation I had with him, was with Elodie? I just couldn't believe it.
"He deserves so much better," I remarked.
Josh scoffed. "Tell me about it. That's kinda the reason why I wanted to walk you to class. Can I sit with you at lunch? Maybe you can introduce me to all your friends?"
He casted his eyes downward. "I'm sick and tired of being the third wheel around Elodie and Tyler." His pouty face was honesty so adorable, but I understood where he was coming from and he had every right to be upset.
"Yeah, Joshua, you can sit with my friends and I."
Josh smirked at his full name. "Maybe after this you will quit calling me Joshua?"
"Not going to happen."
The bell rang and a look of panic automatically appeared across Josh's face. "Crap, I have Mr. Mac this period and he already pretty much hates me, so being late is my downfall."
I smiled. "Run like the wind, Joshua."

Yearbook was one of my favorite classes because of the teacher and just because we could basically do whatever we wanted as long as we got everything done. The downside of yearbook was that I shared the class with Tyler and I couldn't look at him the same since Josh told me he was dating Elodie. I just didn't understand how someone as nice as Tyler could date Elodie Blanchard, the snob of tenth grade.
I think Tyler knew that I was trying to keep my distance from him because he made sure to get the computer right next to me. He never sat next to me. Everybody knew I preferred to work alone and away from others.
I kept my eyes on the screen and focused on the photos I was editing, hoping that he wouldn't speak to me. Of course, I never got my way.
"So Josh told me that he's going to sit with you at lunch," he remarked as his computer started to boot up. "Is there any reason as to why?"
I shrugged, brushing my hair out of my eyes. "All he told me was that he wanted to meet new people."
There was no way I was going to tell Tyler the truth in case Josh hadn't told him the real reason behind his sudden decision to switch tables. I was loyal and knew how to keep my mouth shut.
