The next day

Marc POV

I had ended my trip with six new clients, seventeen renewals and two maybe's. It ended up being a good trip but now I was ready to get home to my wife. Yesterday after her little show, I made some phone calls and was able to leave earlier than expected. I called up my pilot and at four am Canadian time, I headed to the airport and now I was landing back in Wonderland.

We had been here majority of the summer and unfortunately it was time to head back to New Orleans. I was sure she missed her dad and wanted to see him so I had arrange for us to leave this upcoming weekend.

Touching down on the beautiful island I couldn't help but smile. In the last six months, Mel and I had made lasting memories. We had our favorite restaurants and shopping areas and we even had wonderful make out spots.

"Sir your car is ready," my pilot announced. I grabbed my briefcase and exited the plane.

I wanted to surprise her. She wasn't expecting me until this evening so hopeful she could really show me how much she missed me.

Melanie POV

I had just finished taking an early morning swim. I had awakened early and to clear my head, I headed straight to the beach. Since being here, the stress that once consumed me was no longer. I felt refreshed but I was also ready to see my dad and my best friend. Don't get me wrong I loved it here but home was home.

I'll tell you being married to Marc was so different than being his assistant. He was kind and loving and there was also something about that which made my juices flow. I wasn't sure if it was the way he looked at me, or just the feel of his skin or maybe it was the way he simply kissed me, but somehow my mind, body soul couldn't deny him.

He was already my sensei when it came to the matters of the heart. For someone that once wasn't interested in having kids but a career, I was ready to give in to him. I could imagine two little adorable children running around calling out our names. They would probably have Marc wrapped around their fingers and me too. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Mrs. Hernandez your breakfast is ready,"Abraham said as I walked back in the house.

"Can you bring it upstairs?"

"Yes ma'am."

I headed upstairs. Since Marc wasn't coming home to later on today, I was going to go out and do a little shopping. Dommi was headed to Africa with Vlad and Nico while Mona was in New York on business. They had offered me a spot but I wanted to be home when Marc got back.

I sat outside on the balcony and ate. The warm breeze was comforting as I watched the waves crawl across the shore. The sun was almost center and the clouds dissipated almost in a blink of an eye. I watched two birds fly across the water and danced a jubilee as they took away their own breakfast.

I took a bite of my ham and cheese omelet and almost puked at the taste. I wondered if I had eaten them so much, that I didn't want them anymore. Looking down at my plate, I felt like I was all of a sudden starving. I took some butter, cream cheese, strawberry preserves, half of my omelet and crumbled up the remaining bacon sticking it in between my bagel. I took a bite. Yummy! The flavors were popping in my mouth. I gobbled it down and actually wanted more.
