Ross's POV
I finally pulled back but I stayed close. I realized something. I still loved Laura but I also loved Courtney. My heart sunk at the thought. Now I had to chose between chasing after Courtney and begging Laura to take me back. But there was a problem with each choise. If I chose Courtney I'd end up searching for her just to get my heart broken again. If I chose Laura I'd have to tell her what I did and beg for forgivness. Either way I knew I was going to end up alone.
"Ross," Laura breathed, "tell me."
I took a deep breath.
"Those massacres I mentioned...I...I killed your sister."
I looked down and closed my eyes. I didn't want to see her hurt expression. I betrayed her.
"I told you you would hate me," I whispered.
