Ross's POV
I ran up to the reception desk.
"I'm looking for Courtney Eaton," I said, "I know she's here and I need to stop her from making a huge mistake."
"I'm sorry but I don't know who you're talking about."
I pulled out my phone and showed her a picture of Courtney and said, "this is her. Where is she?"
"She was just escorted to the throne room to talk to the warlord about ten minutes ago. Would you like to take a seat and wait?"
"No! I need to talk to her right now!"
"I'm sorry but you have to wait."
"Fine," I sighed.
I sat down and waited until nobody was looking. Then I made a run for the elevator. Another vampire came out and I ran in before the doors started to close. I repeatedly pushed the close button because I saw the reptionist call security. The security guards came into my vision just moment before the doors shut.
Relieved I pressed the top button and waited impatiently for the elevator to take me to the top floor.
