Laura's POV
I sat next to the phone waiting for it to start ringing. I needed to hear Ross's voice even if it's not in person.
I started remembering when he was mine. Back when I was still human. I even remembered the day he started chasing after me even though I didn't feel the same. The way he looked at me like I was his everything, the fact that he was always by my side, even the very first day he was in love with me.
I reached for the phone and dialed his number. He didn't answer. His phone was probably still dead. I sighed and hung up.
I didn't care if he chose Courtney. I would always love him. I just wanted him to be happy. He's been broken too long.
