Studying (Sawamura Daichi X Reader)

It was the end of the day, and the teacher decided to hand back a test you did last week. You waited nervously for the results as the papers were being passed and, and finally received it. You looked at the big C- circled in red on the paper, and ran a hand through your hair. How am I gonna tell my parents? They'll take everything away from me.. I can't show them this.

The bell rang as everyone started to pack up and leave, as you see Daichi standing in front of you.

"Dai, can I stay at your place for a bit?" You ask, and you notice a hint of worry on his face, but he nods.

"Sure, after practise, just come with me for now." He took you hand gently as you walked with him toward the gym. He noticed the worried look on your face, as well as opening his mouth, then closing it.

"Dai, what do you need to say?" You inquired, recieving a small tint of pink of the captain's cheeks.

"I-I'm going to leave Suga-san in charge." He stutters, and your eyes widen.

"You don't need to do that! Why are you doing it, anyway?" You exclaimed, gripping on to his hand a little tighter.

"I care about you, (First Name). You've been feeling down lately, and I don't know why, it irks me so much. Please, just let me do this for you." He says, with a desperate look on his face, and you feel heat rush to your head. "Oh, O-Okay." You reply, feeling a bit better. But the C- still revolved around in your head.

Daichi told Sugawara, and he didn't mind, (except for when you called him Okaa-San) and after the two of you walked home together to his place.

"(First name)." He calls, and you look up.

"Hmm?" You hummed in response.

"What's bothering you?" He questions, and you tense up. You shamefully take out the test paper, with a few crinkles on it from being shoved into your backpack with anger. His face relaxes a bit, and that gives you a calm feeling, as well.

"Did you study for it, (First Name)?" He combed your hair with his fingers, as shamefully shook your head 'no'.

"Still, I thought I knew the concept so well.."  You lowered your face, as Daichi pulled you closer.

"Can you take another test to make up for it?" He inquired, and you tried to remember what the teacher said.

"I think so, I'm pretty sure it's tomorrow." You recalled, and he grinned.

"I'll ask Sugawara if he can study with you."

"But Dai, I don't want to study with Mom-chan." You pouted, and Daichi snorted, then bursted out into laughter.

"What? He's basically the 'mom' of our group. He's always making sure everyone's okay and all that." You spoke, and he calmed down a little.

"Yeah, yeah. But who're going to study with then, Asahi?" He aasked, and you sweatdropped.

"I want to 'study' with you." You winked, causing him to become a little flustered. He started to scratch the back of his neck, letting out a small 'Heh?!' But he regained his composure and nodded curtly.

"Okay, let's get started."

"Right now?!" You scrunched up your face, and he sighed.

"Fine, we'll do it in a bit. Do you want to eat anything?" You were about to humbly say no, but coincidentally, your stomach just had to give its own opinion. Daichi chuckled.

"Should I get (Food)?" He asked, and you nodded.

While he was out getting (Food), you decided to snoop around, sadly finding nothing interesting. You decided to slip on his jersey over your clothes, which fitted quite nicely on you.

You had almost fallen asleep,but you heard the front door click open and in walked Daichi, holding (Food). You got up and ran up to him, as if you were going to hug him, but you went for (Food) instead, as he sweatdropped. You then thank him, scarfing down the (Food). He then noticed that you were wearing his jersey, and he blushed.

"That's my Jersey...?" He trailed off

"Yeah, what about it?" You asked with a lazy face, as he just shakes his head and smiles.

"Nothing. Anyway, let's start." He said as you finished your food, and groaned.

The two of you sat at the table as Daichi looked over the questions you had trouble answering or got wrong, and showed you how it actually worked. You ended up calling yourself 'stupid' multiple times for not realizing the answer, but Daichi helped you get over it.

Three hours later with some snacks in between, you felt that you knew the subject beginning to end. Sure, the retest won't be the same, but you have an idea and you feel confident that you can do it. You ended up cuddling with Daichi for a bit, before having to leave.

You returned his jersey, and said, "Thanks for helping me out, Dai! See you tomorrow!" You heard a small hum in response, and smiled as you quietly closed the door. You had insisted on not walking home, since your house was just a few streets away.

The next day, you were pumped. You knew you were ready, but the only thing is, the retest is after school, during Daichi's practise. You promised him that you would finish as fast as you could to watch him play, but he insisted that you took your time.

The retest was handed around, as you immediately jumped on it. You were writing the answers, smiling widely. I know all of this! You thought, flipping the two-page test over. There was only one question you were pondering over, but you remember what Daichi told you and you remembered. Now that you looked at it, this test was almost the exact same as the last one.

You walked up to the front desk, handing the sheetin, and rushing out toward the gym. You would get the results probably when practise was finished, because you asked the teacher if you could receive it today, and they said yes.

The members of the club welcomed you as you sat up in the bleachers, while the twelve boys practised to their hearts content.

Practise had ended early, so you and Daichi headed over to the classroom, waiting for the response.

"Good Job, (Last Name)-Kun!" Sensei said as they gave you the sheet, turned over. You excitedly looked for the mark, and an A! You embraced Daichi as the two of you walked out of the classroom.

"Thanks so much, Daichi." You gave him a kiss on the cheek as his ears burned a dangerous red. You just smiled to yourself as the two of you walked out happy.
