~Derek's POV~

I was back at my old home, flipping through books; looking for answers that can help us. When suddenly I felt the presence of 2 out of the 3 betas on my pack, I took a deep breath before setting the book down and turning around,

"So, you decided." I looked them both in the eyes, "when?" I propped myself up on the tablet was just previously standing above,

"Tonight." Boyd answered, "everyone is going to be at the game and we just figured... It would be the best time." My eyes flickered to Erica,

"It's not like we want to," I stepped forward and walked over to them,

"No. What DO you want?" Irritation clear in my voice, she looked nervous as she answered,

"Well... Sense I just turned 16 I wouldn't mind getting my license, sense... I can't get that if I'm dead, you know?" I looked at her, feeling nothin but disbelief but masking if greatly.

"Well I told you there was a price" my voice cold, Boyd looked between Erica and I before speaking up again,

"But we didn't think it would be like this!"

"But I told you how to survive! You do it as a pack!" I was raising my voice now, letting my irritation show, "and your not a pack, without an alpha!" I turned back to the table I was standing at,

"We know." Boyd answered confidently, I slowly turned around; disbelief on my face,

"You wanna look for another pack?" I asked, Erica looked down before looking back to Boyd,

"I think we already did." He answered,

"What?" I asked, a new pack in town?

"Yeah, suddenly we heard all this howling! There must have been a dozen of them!" Erica sounded awe struck and it made me madder then I already was,

"Yeah, or two! Wolves can amplify there howls to make it sound like there's more of them when in realty there's not!" I snapped,

"Look that doesn't matter ok? There's another pack out there... There's got to be..." Erica sounded almost despite "we've made up our minds Derek" she finished,

"Alright Derek we lost... It's over." Boyd finished,

"No." I cut in, "your running; and once you start you don't stop." They looked at each other before Erica grasped Boyd's hand and they ran out of the house. I sighed and leaned up against the table once more sighing, I saw a piece of broken mirror and I grabbed it and turned around and chucked it, only to see my uncle Peter standing there with the glass on his hand holding it,

"I expected a slightly warmer welcome but... Point taken" he stepped closer to me, "quite a predicament you got yourself in... I'm out for a few weeks and suddenly there's lizard people... Psychological paths, and your cooking up werewolfs from every low self esteemed teenager out there!"

"What do you want?" I practically growled,

"I wan to help." He started walking towards me, "your my nephew... The only family I have left, there's still a lot I can teach you, you know." He placed a hand on my shoulder and I looked at it, "can't we just talk?" I looked back at him,

"Sure, lets talk." I grabbed him forearm and threw him across the room into the staircase, he let out a groan as he got back up.
