Chapter 31

I was sitting in the kitchen when Jessica walked in, immediately my mind flashed to my conversation with Stiles yesterday and I shifted uncomfortably. I could tell Jessica was nervous my her posture and her heartbeat, she cleared he throat and her eyes flashed between Derek and I.
"Uh... Can I ask you a question Derek?" She whispered out, I went to get out and leave to give them alone time to talk; just the polite thing to do. But she stopped me, "you can stay if you'd like Marcey." She flashed me a nervous smile and I gave her a hesitant one back.
"Ok, what do you need?" Derek asked, leaning back onto the counter.
"Uh... I need advice..." She but her lip and I wondered what she needed advice for... She seemed really nervous about it though.
"Ok... On what?" Derek even sounded slightly unsure.
"Er... Boy... Issues..." My eyes widened in shock and I had to choke back a laugh. She was really going to Derek with issues with BOY PROBLEMS?! Derek suddenly looked really uncomfortable,
"Oh uh... Sure...?" She smiled at him,
"Ok... Well I like this guy and I've been having these dreams about him! And the dreams just seem to make me like him more, but I'm not sure if it the dreams making me like him -because he's all romantic in them and shit- or if I'm actually liking him!" I looked at the young wolf in surprise, she spilled a lot in only a matter of what had to have been only a second. Derek squirmed awkwardly and but his lip,
"Well uh... Do you find him... Attractive?" My mouth fell open and I let out a loud laugh,
"O-oh m-my god!" I laughed out; clutching my stomach. I wipe a stray tear from my eye and take a deep sigh before cracking up again, when I finally regain my composer I'm just left standing there smiling like an idiot and quietly snickering in m head. Good advice Derek! Jessica's eyes flashed between Derek and I and she squirmed awkwardly and clasped he hands in front of her,
"Yeah... I do..." Derek let out an awkward sigh,
"Why are you coming to me with boy problems? I mean Marcey is standing literally right there?" I rolled my eyes at Derek, it's because she want a guys point of view on it dumbass!
"Because I want a guys point of view on it." See!? I looked over at Derek with a 'come on, just do it' look and he let out a low growl,
"Ok... Well just talk to him about it, guys can't always read you "signals" as you girl put it." I shrugged in agreement,
"He's right... Who's this guy anyways?" I squinted my eyes at her slightly, if she said Scott then I could assume that Stiles was full of shit and Scott ad her really were mates... Bug if she said something different then I could keep following the lead I already had,
"He's uh..." She looked down and blushed, "someone who means a lot to me..." With that she turned around and walked away. I let out a groan and turned to Derek,
"That helps nothing." I rolled me eyes and Derek smiled slightly, of corse Derek knows about my talk with Stiles, he's my mate. I tell him everything.
"Don't worry babe, it will all be figured out sooner or later." He wrapped me in his arms around me and I leaned my head against his chest; listening to the beating of his heart.
"Let's go for a walk." I said, pulling away and looking up to meet his gaze. He thought about it for a second before nodding and taking my hand in his and heading out the front door.

Derek and I walked down to some park,
"Swings!" I cheered, letting go of Derek's hand and running to the swing. "Push me Der!" I laughed out, Derek rolled his eyes and came up behind me and started to push me, "now get on your swing!" I said to him, he gave me a 'really?' Look and I just glared at him. He chuckled before sitting down on his swing.
"It's beautiful out here..." Derek trailed off, I looked out to the park, it really was beautiful... There was a creek that ran right down the middle of it and kids would always come swim in it during the summer times. Derek seemed lost in thought and I stopped my swing so I was just sitting on it like he was.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked, looking over at him. He seemed to snap out of what ever thought he was in and looked at me in a sad way,
"My parents would always bring my brothers and sisters here for lunch every Sunday." I could practically feel my heart break...
"Oh my god.. Derek I'm so sorry! We can leave if you want!?" My eyes widened and I went to stand up but Derek shook his head,
"No.. It's ok. I haven't been here in a while. It's nice coming back after such a long time... Especially with my beautiful mate." I smiled at him and I stood up, I walked over to him and I straddled his waist, I placed my head on his chest and took a deep breath in,
"I wish I could have met your family." I paused, "well.. Peter doesn't really count." He chuckled,
"No, Peter doesn't really count, but my family would have loved you." He smiled to himself before resting his head on top of mine, "my mom would have been thrilled. She would have baked a pie and made dinner and insisted that you came over. My dad probably would had teased me over this... My brothers would have been jealous and my sisters would have gawked over your beauty." I felt heat rush up to my cheeks, "Laura though... My twin..." He let out a puff of air, "she would have taken you on shopping sprees... one after another." I let out a laugh, this was the first time Derek really opened up to me about his family, "and my aunts and uncles and grandparents... They would have started planning a wedding." I laughed, but then I bit my lip, I looked up at Derek.
"Derek... Are we ever going to get married?" I whispered, I Felt my heart start to hammer in my chest, I knew Derek and I were mates and going to be together forever... But does that mean marriage too? Derek smirked down at me,
"If you want to." He whispered back, his tone matching mine, I nodded my head slowly. He grinned and placed a kiss on my lips,
"Then one day i'll propose to you... And we'll get married... Any place you want."
"Kids?" I asked, assuming sense we were talking about our future we might as well put all out cards on the table. H laughed,
"Yeah, we can have kids... And make Scott and Isaac baby sit them." I let out a loud laugh an bit my lip,
"Well I'm looking forward to it." I said, moving in closer so my lips were close to his and would brush his if I talked, "forever?" I asked, my eyes staring straight into his, he nodded.
"Forever." He agreed, before pressing his lips to mine in a nice long passionate kiss. A heart stopper. The best one yet.
