Chapter 27

Isaac left a couple hours ago and I was on the kitchen making a peanut butter and jelly. I smushed the two sides together and licked the knife, smiling at the action I would always do ever sense I was 5. Suddenly the door bursts open an I turn to find Scott standing in the doorway, I look at him wide eyed with the butter knife still in my mouth. He gives me a weird look and I slowly take the knife out and gently set it down in the sink,

"Uh... Can I help you..?" I asked, "and wait, why aren't you in school? What up with you and Isaac just skipping?! That's NOT good for you." I scolded as I took a bit out of my sandwich, Scott rolled his eyes.

""Who's the girl Isaac has been hanging around?" I raise my eyebrow at Scott and take another bite,

"I don't know... Has be been hanging around her? That last I know is he just walked her home?" Scott shook his head,

"He had her sit with us at the lunch table and she's hanging with Allison and Lydia at practice," I rolled my eyes.

"Oh come on Scott! Give him a break! Remember when you and Allison first started hanging out an stuff?" He went to open his mouth but I quickly cut him off, "and don't say 'well she's a hunter' because we all know damn well she didn't know she was a hunter or anything about us until further on in your guises.." I paused and looked at Scott funny, "relationship? I don't even know what to call it... But either way! No. Give the poor boy a break Scott." I gave him a pleading look and he just sighed an leaned up against the wall.

"Ok..." I smiled at him and patted his shoulder before continuing to eat my sandwich, "so where's Derek?" I shrugged,

"He's usually home in 25 minuets, you need to talk to him?" I asked, drinking a glass of milk I pored, he shook his head.

"No, just wondering... So date night?" I shrugged,

"Probably just a lay around the house and watch movies type of date night." Scott smiled lightly,

"Why don't you make him take you out?" He moved away from the wall and sat next to me, I looked over at Scott and breathed out a sigh,

"Don't you think that would seem pushy?" I asked, Scott shook his head.

"You guys are mates... He should only give you the best." I smiled at his and hugged him.

"Thank you." I whispered in his ear. "So why aren't you at practice?" He shrugged and grinned,

"My favorite coach was missing... I needed to check up on her." I playfully rolled my eyes and slouched back in y chair,

"Well now that you've checked up on her are you going to go back and get in that practice for the game in 2 days?" Scott shook his head no,

"If I go back now coach will unleash hell on me." I smiled and stood up from my chair,

"Well then go take it like a man... I have a date night to get ready for." Scott groaned and stood up, giving my a final hug before he was out the door.

I finished getting ready as Derek walked through the door, I smiled innocently at him as he came up to me and pecked my lips,

"What are you all dressed up for?" He asked, his hands placed on my hips,

"You. And me. Are going on a date night, so go get dressed!" I smacked his chest and pointed to the couch that had the clothes I had picked out for him draped across it, He gave me a look before grabbing them and walking to the bedroom to get ready. I quickly wrote a note telling Isaac that Derek and u had gone on a date night an not to wait up for us because I didn't know how late we were going to be and to get lots of rest for school in the morning, even though I knew he would listen to me I still decided to be a good person and throw that in there.

"Ready?" I turned and looked at the spiffed up Derek in front of me and I smiled and looped my arm around his,

"Let's go then!"

Derek had taken me out to dinner and I movie, we went and watched 'were the millers' and I was laughing the whole time,

"Did you have a good time?" Derek asked on the drive back, I smiled at him and I nodded,

"I really did." I leaned over and pecked his cheek, resulting in a smile from him, soon his smile dropped and I looked at him in wonder,

"I... I'm sorry I haven't been the best boyfriend ever." I felt my eyes soften from there wondering gaze to one of empathy,

"Derek-"

"No. I know you told Peter to talk to me... And I'm sorry, because you shouldn't have to do that. I don't want you to feel like you can't talk to me," I sighed and took Derek's hand in mine,

"Derek... I just.. I feel like sometimes you... What's Stiles doing in our house?" I stopped what I was doing and looked at Stiles jeep that was parked in the parking lot of our building, I sniffed the air and my eyes widened, "blood." Derek and I both said at the same time before we rushed into our building and up the stairs, I busted in the apartment only to find Scott, Stiles and Peter surrounding Isaac who was holding a girl in his arms who was covered in blood and a knife wound in her stomach, I clamped a hand over my mouth and let out a muffled scream,

"What the hell is going on?!" I asked frantically as I pushed past everyone and knelt next to Isaac, Isaac looked up at me with sad eyes.

"I did something every bad..." Isaac whispered, I let out a shaky breath

"Please don't tell me you did this to her." I said motioning to the girl, she shook his head.

"But... Her mother was about to kill her... I ..." I stopped him right there, knowing the rest of the story without it even having to be explained.

"It's ok." Isaac looked me in the eyes and his eyes flashed an electric blue, I felt tears spill down my cheeks, I shook my head and placed my hand on the girls stomach. I shook my head,

"She's going to die." I whispered,

"NO!" Isaac screamed, glaring up at me,

"C-change h-her." His voice came out shaking and uneven,

"Isaac, she might WANT to die weather then be this? Did you think of that!" I asked, his eyes turned blue and I turned mine red,

"Change her." He demanded, I looked over at Derek and he bent down to me and took my head in his hands,

"She's going to die." I looked back to Isaac and sighed

"What's her name." I said, picking up her arm,

"Jessica blue." He stated, I nodded

"I'm sorry Jessica." I whispered before I but down in her arm, her body jolted and she let out an ear piercing scream, but her eyes never opened. I could taste the blood on my mouth and it tasted sickening sweet. I let her arm drop down and it seemed As if everyone's heartbeats became louder, thumping in my ears, a sound that wouldn't stop. I closed my eyes to hide the tears that I didn't want to spill over.

I'm sorry. That's all that I could think, I felt a hand on my shoulder and I snapped and growled at them, I looked over and saw it was Isaac.

"Thank you." He whispered, I just stood up and stormed out of the room, to pissed at everyone and anything.

I just ruined a girls life.

But I saved her life...

But I ruined it.
