A/N: okay, this chapter might be boring so sorry about that. And sorry for the horrible title. Oh and if you haven't heard, I'm very very very sick so I put a picture of the turtles when they were sick so that now I'm not alone (evil laugh). Enjoy, my lovely mutants
I sat on the steel surface, holding down loud screams as I felt the burning pain from my cuts. I know Donnie was trying his best to clean them without hurting me in the process but he was unsuccessful.
I flinched, feeling the sharp tingling pain in the huge gash on my shoulder "Sorry" Donnie gasped
"So let me get this straight" I looked up at the upset turtle, Leonardo "you went out alone with no weapons on you and got attacked by your stupid pet" he presses his finger against Raphael's plastron at the last part
He swatted his hand away, sending his elder brother a glare "he didn't mean to attack her! He thought she was an enemy"
"That's hard to believe after what he did to us" Mikey said
The turtle in the red mask focused his glare on the young brother "shut up before I knock the green off yah!"
Mikey gulped nervously and sank back into his chair "look, Spike told me himself he was sorry"
"And who can testify that?" The blue-clad turtle asked
"It's true I passed out" I spoke up "but if Raph says Spike didn't mean it then he must be telling the truth"
"Sky, you'd really think someone who did this to you would be sorry" Donnie traced his hand over my bandaged injury on my shoulder
I slapped his hand away "it's just a few cuts, it's not that bad"
"Sky, you almost died from blood loss!" The purple-clad snapped
I got up and crossed my arms over my chest "you guys are overreacting. I'm glad you guys worry about me but I'm fine, so just relax"
Leonardo breathed out a sigh of defeat "alright, but at least let Donnie finish cleaning you up"
"Fine" I sat back down in my seat and left the hybrid to his work, the others left after wishing us goodnight, I had almost forgotten how late it was
The both of us lapsed into silence. But it wasn't awkward for us, we always seemed to do this. It's not because we don't like each other, it was just we had nothing to say. Sometimes it felt like we were complete strangers.
"So" I tried to break the silence "how many medical visits have I had now?"
"This visit's the sixth" he answered
I dilated my eyes "seriously? Waoh, I'm on a roll"
The mutant scoffed "yeah right"
"What got into you?"
"Nothing" he breathed out "Okay, you're all done"
"Thanks"
I helped him arrange and put everything back in its place. When the lab was clean again, I wished the terrapin goodnight and was about to leave the lab when I realized something. Donatello was still working away on his laptop.
"Um, Donnie" I called out "aren't you gonna go to bed?"
He shook his head no "I have a lot of work to do"
"But it's very late, and we have training in the morning" I reasoned
"Nothing a cup of coffee can't fix" he said, his gaze glued to the lit screen
I walked over to him and sat down, observing what he was typing away on his computer. It all looked like gibberish to me though.
"Can I help you?" The purple-clad ceased typing and shot me an annoyed look
