Forget to Remember

Confusion

Confusion runs,

Through my mind.

I can't understand,

Not this kind.

Your eyes consume me,

Your love is real.

I am not sure, 

How I feel.

Or maybe I am,

But that's the thing.

I can't keep you on,

This flimsy string.

I feel the need,

I have for you.

I know my feelings,

Are only true.

But over time,

What if they change?

Never like this,

Never so strange.

Your laughter surrounds me,

Your voice makes me weak.

Makes me feel loved,

Unable to speak.

You drive me  insane,

Like never before.

Is this another chance?

Is this another door?

I just can't explain,

All that I feel.

There'll be a day,

For the kiss that I'll seal.

I'll seal it with hope, 

That one day we might,

See our own future, 

And hold to it tight.

You could be the break,

To my horrible fate.

This world that I live in,

This one full of hate.

There's one last thing,

I'll say to you.

The day will come, 

When my heart's true.

To you and only you,

But that's not today.

Because of confusion,

It's not time to say.

Those three little words,

That I have to mean.

'Cause I've never felt,

No, I've never seen.

Where you have been,

Or what you have done.

Without you near,

It'll be no fun.

Why I wrote this,

I do not know.

But for now,

It's time to go.

Just be kind.

I've gone to hell, 

And I've come back.

Pinned my skin,

With every tack.

Now I'm falling,

And falling hard.

Don't let me trip,

Just play your cards.

I belong to you,

And you belong to me.

In each other's arms,

Are where we're meant to be.
