A Heavy Comfort

There is peace, in places you'd never think.
There's comfort in the space of a blink.
The weight of a world
Is hard to hold up yes,
But it your and yours own.
It's yours in turmoil and yours to rest.
Well then, hold up your head.
Embrace it, orphan it,
Sleep when its dead.
There's bedsheets to set,
And more to ruin.
In millions of words,
That a minute's silence said.

Give a moments thought.
To the universes that exist atop,
The heads of abandoned warehouses
And community water tanks.
Reach out and touch
The myriad people hiding
In your reflection, biding
Their time till you pull them out,
Laughing, weeping, babbling or not.
They aren't MASKS don't you kenn ?
There just a whole world inside your brain.

Go ahead and turn your shirts inside out.
Wear them like you aren't afraid of anything.
Because the inkstained paper under your fingers,
Is beyond a shade of doubt.
The truth the truth and nothing but the truth.
Through and through, bleed you should.
Cut a slit in your lip, and kiss.
The short hands of the clock,
That ticks away your bliss.
And for a short long time,
It will freeze.

There you'll find,
The weight of YOUR world is on your heart.
But it's nothing but A Heavy Comfort.
