It’s only 6 am but Gerald is up already.
He can’t go back to sleep so he decided to go out
As he went out of the rest house he smiled upon seeing the sunrise.
“Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.”He whispered a line from Psalms 139:14
He became emotional
The gratefulness is just overflowing
He squatted on the sand with a huge smile
His first love, the One He loves more than anyone else, His priority – His master, His God
He was enveloped by the Lord’s peace
He was just full of thankfulness
He grabbed his phone and started jotting down his vows for later on“O bata gising ka na pala.”
He heard Mang Dolpho’s voice from nowhere
Gerald looked at him and smiled
“Excited sa kasal?”
Tanong ng matanda na umupo katabi niya
“Opo.” He grinned again
Mang Dolpho tapped him on the shoulder
“Wala yon, hijo.”
