It’s a fine afternoon at Batangas

The wind blows softly

White chairs with ribbons at the back are organized in two different columns

A white altar filled with flowers is waiting in front

The band has their own stage at the right

They asked the singers from their church to sing for them

So there’s Christian Bautista, Yeng Constantino and Rachel Ann Go

Pink, yellow, beige and orange peonies are dangled everywhere

It’s a classic-slash-beach themed wedding, just like the ones in old movies.

Sarah wants it that way. Classic and timeless

At the end of the aisle there is a huge arch made of wood and flowers

It has white curtains covered because Sarah is waiting there

The principal sponsors, the bridesmaids, the groom’s men, the maid of honor and the best men together with Gerald and his parents are on the side waiting

They’re all barefooted

“Ready?”

KC tapped Gerald’s shoulder

“Ready”

KC signaled Christian, a cue for the band to start playing

“What day is it? And in what month?

This clock never seemed so alive

I can't keep up and I can't back down

I've been losing so much time”

Gerald’s parents started to walk

Janice clutched on to her husband’s arm

John smiled at her

“Honey, hindi tayo ang ikakasal wag ka iiyak”

She laughed at this

As they reached the altar

They went on the side to watch Gerald as he march down

Gerald is all smiles

“Cause it's you and me and all of the people

With nothing to do, nothing to lose

And it's you and me and all of the people

And I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you”

He can’t believe he’s getting married today

“All of the things that I want to say

Just aren't coming out right

I'm tripping on words, you got my head spinning

I don't know where to go from here”

While waiting for the bride he’s just grinning but his mind is off somewhere

“Cause it's you and me and all of the people

With nothing to do, nothing to prove

And it's you and me and all of the people

And I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you”

He doesn’t see the people heading towards the altar anymore

All he can think of is Sarah

“Something about you now

I can't quite figure out
