Chapter Fifteen- Tears Left Unshed
Maddie's POV
"Have fun at dance, girls!" My mom told Kendall and I as we hopped out of her van.
I grumbled in response, as Kendall said a small, "Thanks!" before we both headed into the studio.
I trudged behind Kendall, not wanting to face Chloe or Paige.
As soon as we entered the building, Paige and Chloe both stood there, snickering and point at me.
"Just ignore them." Kendall whispered into my ear, as I fought back a tear.
I nodded my head, as we proceeded into the dancers den.
I began stretched, as Abby made her grand entrance.
"Where is Chloe and Paige?" She asked in a raspy voice.
"In the lobby." Kendall informed her, stopping her stretching for a moment, before continuing.
She nodded her head, as she barked, "All girls, except Maddie, into Studio A. Maddie, I want you to go get Chloe and Paige."
I sighed, nodding my head, as Kendall gave me a sympathetic look.
This could only mean trouble.
Walking into the lobby, in monotone, I said, "Chloe, Paige, Abby wants you in Studio A."
"Ew! Get away from me! I don't want to catch something!" Chloe snickered, backing away from me.
"I don't have anything to catch." I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore their piercing words.
"You expect us to believe that?" Paige scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"Seriously! You look like a rat!" Chloe giggled.
"Your words don't hurt me." I lied, gritting my teeth.
Chloe's eyes darted to my wrists, flashing hurt, then switching back to normal.
"Explain those nasty cuts, then?" She laughed. "I bet they're from the texts I sent this morning."
"Probably!" Paige giggled, staring at my wrists.
Tears burned in my eyes, as I shakily said, "Okay, Abby is going to get mad. She wants you in Studio A."
Rolling their eyes, they both stomped past me, purposely bumping into me, as they stalked to Studio A.
I followed behind them, at a great distance, tears still evident in my eyes.
