y/n was the ex girlfriend of derek hale. the two broke up because y/n felt that derek didn't love her at all. maybe it was because y/n was 19 while derek was 23 but y/n didn't see any problem with that. derek never showed the girl any form of love. all he did was kiss her on her cheek sometimes then leave to go help scott.
not only that but derek had hooked up with braeden when the two were on a "break" which devastated y/n.
y/n was heartbroken and didn't talk to derek or the pack. talking to the pack reminded y/n too much of derek and what he had done.

it was a cool friday afternoon, the leaves were falling off the trees as y/n walked down the street from her work. the familiar high school she often volunteered at came into sight. y/n smiled before hearing the loud noise of screeching tires.
she turned around just in time to feel a sharp pain in the center of her stomach. the girl gasped as she watched her white t-shirt change to a blood red color. she had been shot.
the person in the car continued shooting her before quickly driving off.
y/n's body fell to the ground causing her to whimper in pain. she used all the strength she had in her to rise from the ground. then she toke off towards the school at the end of the street.

miss. morrell was seated in her office doing paper work when she heard loud screams for help. she got up, unaware of what she was hearing was true until she heard it again.
she quickly exited the classroom and begin walking towards where she heard the screams. her jaw dropped as she saw the bloody girl she recognized desperately trying to climb up the school stairs. "y/n?" she asked as she quickly ran down the stairs towards her.
"help me please!" y/n begged before her eyes shut closed. miss morrell placed the girl's body in the backseat of her car and begin driving towards the hospital, speeding way past the limit.
she pulled up the hospital and quickly grabbed y/n's unconscious body. she walked into the hospital instantly screaming for help which gained the attention of many doctors and patients.
"y/n?" melissa asked as the girl was placed on a stretcher. miss. morrell ran her hands through her hair as melissa begin speaking to her.
"what do we do?" melissa asked. miss morrell sighed before answering,
"call scott."

scott ran through the hospital, the pack directly behind him. "where's y/n is she okay?" lydia frantically asked melissa.
melissa quickly nodded before turning to her son. "she's in surgery right now. she was shot multiple times and lost a lot of blood but she should be okay." melissa explained to the frantic group of teens.
suddenly a loud crash could be heard from the hospital door causing everyone to look in that direction. there stood a worried derek, braeden right behind him.
"where is she? is she okay?" he called out as he ran towards the teens.
"she's okay." melissa answered. "i need to see her, where is she." he frantically said.
"derek you can't she's in surgery the best you can do is wait in the lobby." melissa said.
"but ther-" derek tried to say before he was interrupted by melissa, "i'm sorry they need me." and with that the mom ran of towards the surgery room.

various hours had passed of the group of people waiting for y/n and finally melissa walked towards the group. derek was the first to stand earning a shocked look from braeden.
"is she okay? what's wrong?" derek asked before anyone else could. melissa smiled before speaking, "you may see here if you want."
instantly everyone stood up but braeden. "braeden?" derek asked as the girl begin walking towards the front doors of the hospital.
"derek be with y/n for me." braeden said and with that she left. derek turned his full attention towards melissa who was leading them to y/n's hospital room. as soon as derek saw y/n he ran towards her, connecting his lips to hers. "you're okay?" he asked as he checked her body. y/n simply laughed before nodding.
"i'm fine." she said. derek smiled before connecting his lips to hers again. and for once in beacon hills everything was okay.
