I sat chugging down the almost empty bottle of alcohol as I scanned through all the drinks located on the rack directly in front of me.

A tap on my shoulder snapped me out of my trance on the bottles, I turned around after a second.

A man stood with a empty bottle in his hands, clearly intoxicated, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was wearing a stained t-shirt, grey pants and a few yellow teeth in the smile of his.

"I lost my number may I have yours?" He asked smiling, stepping a step closer, reeking of smoke.

"Not in the mood." I spoke as I spun back around facing the variety of drinks.

"Oh come on, I can make it worth your while." He said, his hand slowly dragging itself down towards my ass.

I spun around getting ready to punch the man in the face before I was interrupted by a strange comment.

"Get away from my wife." Someone spat.

Surprised I looked in the direction of the stranger unaware I was married. He had green eyes, black hair, very muscular, quite tall, and very good looking.

I raised my eyebrows at him as the intoxicated man dragged himself away, tripping a few times in the process.

"Thanks, husband!" I spoke jokingly as I stuck out my hand. "I'm Y/n, but you can call me wife." I said joking again.

"Derek, but you can call me husband." He said smiling at me.

"Thanks for doing that though." I spoke serious now.

"No problem, Why you here alone?"

"Had to get my mind of some things." I spoke.  "Why you here alone?" I asked turning to make eye contact with him.

"I prefer alone." He truthfully said laying it on me as if it was nothing.

"That makes two of us." I spoke letting out a dry laugh.

"Want a drink?" I asked tried of the quietness.

"Sure but I'm not much of a drinker." He spoke as he pulled out his wallet.

"NO!" I screeched causing him to jump.

"I offered you so I pay." I said grabbing his wallet and throwing it back onto his lap.

"No it's fine really." He said laughing as he tried once again to take money out.

"No, please. Just let me. For once?" I begged.

"Fine, only because you really want to." He said finally putting his wallet away.

I called the bartender and told him our orders as I sat talking with Derek still.

A hour after drinking, laughing, smiling and talking I realized it was getting really late.

"I'd love to talk more but I'm afraid I'm exhausted and if I wait any longer there may not be any more taxis." I said as I collected my purse.

"Let me give you a ride home then since you payed for my drink." He said getting up himself.

"I suppose." I said smiling feeling quite excited.

As we entered Derek's car we continued talking, laughing and such before we reached my house.

"This is it. Thanks Derek, for keeping me company and the ride." I said smiling, unbuckling the seatbelt.

"Wait before you go," Derek said grabbing a hold of my hand.

I stopped realizing how soft his hand was before I realized I hadn't said anything.

"Oh um yes?" I asked turning around.

"Here." He said smiling handing me a white paper with a number scrawled on it.

"Call me?" He asked.

"Deal." I said turning around walking towards my front door.

"Deal." He called out smiling as he pulled away.
