There was nothing more fun to do with your husband than karaoke. It was your job to sing for thousands of other people anyways so it came naturally to you when it was date night for Joe and yourself. It was always the same bar with the same crowd on the same night and even the same bartender but it was always a different song that you and Joseph sang.

But tonight everything seemed to be very different for when you had showed up at the bar there was no one inside and the bar was completely empty. Walking over to the platform where the monitor stands you eye the desolate place as the sound of shoes on the stage catch your attention from behind.

Your husband stands in a black and white suit with a microphone in hand as he walks over to you. He nods his head towards the monitor that shows the song that he must have chose. The title and artist crosses the screen as the first verse soon appears and Joseph starts singing. You watch him with a smile on your face as he dances around you and holds out the microphone towards you to sing backup.

"What was that for?" You question as soon as the song ends and he holds you in his arms.

"Did you forget?"

"Forget what?" You ask confused as you pull away from the crook of his neck and look at Joe who has an amused smile and twinkle in his eyes. "Oh, no. Did I forget our anniversary?"

"Yes," Joe confirms as he kisses the top of your head as you look down in embarrassment. "Hey, it's okay. At least it wasn't me this time." You laugh at his little joke and start to feel better as he continues to hold you until the next song comes on and the two of you can't help but to sing along.
