I love Coldplay! And I'm jealous that I can't go to one of their concerts, but I have a Twenty One Pilots show at the end of the month... fun
Sorry this is late... by a month
Enjoy!
Love,

You huffed lowly under your breath as you sauntered down the sidewalk. It was a stressful day today. You woke up late for work at which you had been fired from, after leaving work with your last pay cheque you headed to the bank, finding that in the envelope was a tax paper for all the late fees you spent at work. Having to pay that off on the spot at the bank you had no money to get a cab home leaving you to walk to the other side of town.
That all happened around noon. Now, it is an hour after the sun set behind the horizon and you are a couple blocks away from your flat. You lived by the seashore, probably the only good thing in your life at this point. But rent was always high for you so you had no idea how you were going to pay it off without a job or a pay cheque.
Crossing the street you made your way down the boardwalk, a person at the end of it catching your eye. He was a taller man with curly brown hair, a guitar settled in his lap. A soft tune was being played by him as he sung along softly to it. The bitter scent of the salty sea washed over you as you continued walking towards him, entranced by his song.
You stopped in front of where he sat on the only bench, staring at him a he played. He had his eyes closed as his sweet voice carried a note through the night air, sending shivers down your back and arms. Strumming the last cord the man opened his eyes and leant back in his seat, looking up at you with beautiful green eyes.
"That's an amazing song..." you muttered, breaking the trace that was placed on you. The man smiled brightly and thanked you for your kind words as he moved so you could sit beside him. "I'm (Y/N)."
"Chris," the man spoke, his voice sounding just like his singing. You grinned at him as well and asked what the name of the song was. "I don't have a name for it to be honest. Naming songs is hard for me."
"Hum, well, why don't I help." Chris shifted in his seat to look directly at you as you placed your pointer finger and thumb between the bridge of your nose, a thinking pose that you always took. "How about..."
You thought about your surroundings. The string lights that hung between the poles of the boardwalk, the lone bench at the end of the dock, the wafting scent of the sea, the sound of the waves slowly breaking on the sandy shore. It all encompassed the song and the song related highly to the place Chris and you sat in.
"Oceans."
"Yes, I like that quite well." Chris smiled at you and leaned in slowly, planting a single kiss on your cheek. At that moment your worries and concerns were washed away just like the grains of sand on the beach below you. A single moment like this could take away anything as horrible as the day you've had. A kiss such like Chris's could've changed your life. And it did.
