As the snow fell from the grey, cloudy sky, I bounded down the sidewalk with a chipper in my step. Christmas was tomorrow, first of all, and I would get to see my boyfriend for the first time this month that day as well. Taron has been rather busy with the current production of his movie and we haven't had any time to be with each other, so we both thought that with the holidays coming around we could manage to finally get together.
I told him that we weren't going to exchange gifts, saying that all we are going to do is cuddle together and watch classic Christmas movies. But I knew that Taron, being a loving boyfriend, he would indeed get me something for the holidays. Entering my apartment, I took off my coat and shoes as I smelled the faint scent of popcorn and hot chocolate.
"Hello?" I called, walking across the living room and into the kitchen where I found my boyfriend standing. "You're here early! Why didn't you call?"
I wrapped my arms around his torso as he hugged my waist tightly, giving me a feeling of security in his embrace. Taron pecked my cheek with his lips as I pulled away seeing that he's already made food for what we had planned for tomorrow night. I looked up at him puzzled.
"I figured, since I'm in town a day early, that we could get more movies in," he said, smiling like a fool. A lovable fool at that. "Take a seat and find a movie. I'll be there soon."
I go into the living room and sit down on the sofa, looking through all the Christmas movies we had figured we wanted to see for tradition, ones we haven't watched in a while, and some we haven't seen at all. I picked out Elf, an American holiday comedy, for our first video of our movie binge of the holiday season.
"Taron? What's this?" I said, finding a box on the corner of the coffee table wrapped neatly with a glittery red bow. Looking over my shoulder at him walking into the living area with our mugs of hot chocolate I saw he had a cheeky smile on his face. "I thought we said no presents this year? I didn't get you one though."
"Are you going to complain or are you gonna open it, Cassie?" Taron questioned as he set the cups down and slid the package over to me. I picked it up and undid the bow slowly as I watched the brunette boy look at me with a sweet smile on his lips. Opening the lid, I find a bright jewel staring up at me, shining in the Christmas lights around the room. "I know we said no gifts but I could what another year or so to ask you. Will you marry me?"
"Yes!" I called, lunging to hug Taron beside me as I kissed him profusely across his face. As I pulled away I asked him a question. "Are you upset I didn't get you a present?"
"No, not at all. You're all I need this season." Taron and snuggled close together on the sofa as the movie started and I couldn't stop staring at the engagement ring sitting on my finger.

With your ticket in hand and your luggage already stashed in the above compartment you took a seat by the window of the train. It was slightly snow outside, covering the ground in the first winter coat though temperatures still staying fairly normal. You were on your way to your home state to spend the Christmas holidays with your family, getting to see long missed cousins and dear nephews and nieces.
"Is this seat taken?" Looking away from your view outside the train you stared up at a man smiling to you. He gestured to the seat and asked you again as you shook your head, flushing at the man's choice in sitting next to you. You shifted in your seat as he sat down with a small sigh of relief. "The holidays, I say. It's never been this hard."
Chuckling at his comment you saw from the reflection in the window him smiling at you. You once again blushed as he looked away to the rest of the people coming through the cars. A couple of minutes later and the train took off with a loud blow of its horn, the sound of the wheels turning slowly lulling you into sleep.
"Hey. Hey wake up, miss." A hand placed on your shoulder shook you awake lightly as your eyes opened. Looking around, you noticed that you were still on the train but the car was empty all besides you and the man next to you. "This is the last stop. I got your luggage figuring you'd be too tired."
"Oh, um, thank you," you murmured as you stood up. The man followed behind you as you left the train to go into the station, not finding your family or at the least your parents waiting for you. "Of course." You huffed as you took out your phone to dial your mother but the man who sat with you came up to you with a greeting smile.
"Do you need a ride? Just, so, you know, you aren't walking in the snow?" He stumbled as he looked at you with soft brown hues. You thought over his offer and took it up as he smiled once again. The two of you walked out to his car and started off into town, trying to beat the Christmas traffic. "I never got your name, miss."
"(Y/N)."
"Ryan," he said holding out his hand for you to shake, you doing so rather quickly so he could steer properly. You and him held up a conversation on the way to your parents house, feeling like you've gotten to know him quite well and him to the same for you. "Is this the place?"
You looked out your window and saw it was the familiar yellow house that you've grown up in, feeling nostalgia and sadness knowing that you had to leave this rather attractive man behind. Nodding your head, Ryan parked the car and helped you get your luggage to the front stoop. He set them down and looked to you as you hesitated to knock on the door.
"Oh, look," Ryan said surprised as he pointed up at a piece of mistletoe hanging over the two of you. You slightly smirked to yourself as you remembered your parents always hung that stupid plant during the winter. "I guess we could keep with tradition."
"Just kiss me." Getting up on your toes, you kissed Ryan with your dry lips as he slipped his hands onto your hips, deepening the kiss further. As you pulled away, you smiled up at the brunette who did the same. "Merry Christmas."
