How cunning of you Jeffrey- Attackinanime.

Seemed that font was nicer.

Knock knock...

At times like this what should we do?
Answer the door? Or ignore it until that person gets bruises on his knuckles from knocking so hard.

But I'm a nice guy so I won't let that happen.

I turn to Mered, who's gazing at the radio, enticed by the information coming out of it.

"Can you get the door?", I ask ,distracting her from it.

"Sure."

As she's about to unlock the door, a message is slipped from underneath the door.

'Hey Lucas.'

"Um, this person must be your friend?"

Really now. What a cheesy message.

"I'll get it."

I unlock the door and look outside my hotel door. Right in front of it lies a basket of tulips and a red tie, along with another message in one of the petals.

"You probably saw the last message, if not, read that first before you read this one."

Oh boy.

"My family is having a dinner to get to know the ''species". You know, it happens every year. I'm formally inviting you to come , you can even bring that girl with you if you want"
From your old friend, Jeffrey :)

Oh goody. I'm invited to that dinner that hold every year, to the "species". It gives everyone a chance to know each other, along with new species that arrived from our home planet. Dinner, followed by dancing and then a party. I either end up next to someone uncontrollably hungry ,or a little kid who just wants to get on everyone's nerves. But seriously, tulips?

"I'm sorry, I'm not coming. I mean I'm never going to go. Please accept that", From your friend who thought you were dead, Lucas

But I seriously thought he was dead. In fact it still shakes me.

How is he still alive?

I remember seeing from a distance  the bomb that  killed my whole elementary school. I thought everyone died. It seemed the police discovered us when we newly arrived to earth. All these kids with weird abilities start showing up. But it didn't have to result to violence.

"So you're not going?"

"No."

"Why, you get free food. And it's a special place we 'species ' can be ourselves. That's what I heard."

A smirk spreads across my face.

"You haven't been to one , have you?"

"No."

"And who told you that? About we 'species' being ourselves?"

"From around."

"Well that's wrong. It's the exact opposite of that. You have to have manners and behave. You have to respect everyone, even the ones you despise the most."

"Who said I'm not like that?"

"That's a very funny joke, Mered."

"Seriously, I can do that. Please, I want to go."

"Yeah.. No."

"Come on, you even said I haven't been to one."

I turn my head side to side before I finally set my mind.

"Fine , you can come. But you need a dress. And I need a tuxedo."

"That is totally fine. You can ask Jeffrey."

"Yeah.. that's a definite no. You see, you can't ask the person that invited you to borrow their clothes. That's just plain desperate."

"But we don't have a choice. We don't have money for stuff like that. I'm sure he'll let."

"Fine we'll try. But can we practise manners first?"
