A.N. So I'm currently at the beach and I thought I might put a little pic here for y'all to see!

"You know madam President, I've been thinking about this whole mockingjay thing and all the jobs." Haymitch tells the room full of soldiers and high executives. "I don't think you can dress sweetheart here in makeup and cover up her scars, to prove a point. She's a seventeen year old pregnant widow, make her play that role."

"I'm not a widow." I interrupt and everyone turns to look at me. "He's not dead."

"Yeah, of course." Haymitch tells me and I get the felling I shouldn't have spoken up.

"So what exactly are you saying we do with her? Her acting skills are obviously not up to par." Coin asks us.

I guess I shouldn't let her words get to me, considering they are true. But the thought of someone saying I'm bad at something rubs me the wrong way. If this morning wasn't an example I don't know what is.

"Let's try again Katniss, from the top." Plutarch tells me trough the microphone.

"People of Panem, we fight, we dare, we end our hunger for justice." I yell but my mouth once again stumbles on the words and I sigh in frustration.

"And that my friends is how a revolution dies." Haymitch tells the crowd.

"Let's all think of a few moments that Katniss truly moved you. Not when you thought her dress was pretty, or when Peeta convinced you to love her, but a time she truly moved you." Haymitch says answering Alma's question.

The room is silent and for a moment I think no one has an answer, that I truly haven't shown love. But then a voice speaks up in the corner.

"When she buried little Rue in the flowers." A man named Boggs breaks the silence and I think that maybe he isn't such a robot after all.

"A lot of y'all don't know this because it wasn't broadcasted on national tv, but there was one time that Katniss truly moved me." Rye tells the room and I fear what he says next. He's known to be a prankster and I can only imagine what he'll though out here now. "As most of you know, Katniss can shoot a bow but that's about it. Last year she came into the bakery and asked me to teach her to bake. Not because she was bored, but because she wanted to show my brother how much she loved him. And I guess it was in that moment that I realized she was the perfect person for Peeta, and probably the worst baker ever. " He finishes laughing and the room falls silent with only the sound of our breathing.

"When she risked her life for Peeta to get the medicine he needed." A man in a gray uniform tells everyone.

As the room begins to fill with more and more stories of what I've done, Haymitch glances towards me and winks. This was his plan all along.

"So what do all these things have in common?"

"They were all Katniss. It was her and not a script." Gale says.

"Exactly, so we should just leave her alone." Beete tells everyone and we all laugh.

"Here's what I think we should do." Haymitch begins but Coin cuts him off.

"We should throw her into combat."

Everyone stops and stares at what she has just said. Even I'm speechless, because she can't possibly be serious.
