A.N. I just want to say I'm sorry ahead of time for the sadness you are about to endure.

For a terrifying second, I'm flying through the air headed towards the wear house. But then a pair of arms wrap around me and spin us around, comforting the impact completely, although the grunt of pain that comes from Rye tells me it was at his own personal cost. Gale and Boggs are immediately in front of me, shielding, their weapons raised to fire. Rye shifts behind me so that I'm pressed into the wall with the three of them surrounding me.

The ground shakes angrily as bomb after bomb is dropped. It's horrifying being pinned to the wall, helpless as the earth threatens to explode around you. I am so stupid. So incredibly stupid. This was a terrible idea. It was reckless and impulsive and I can't believe that I was actually able to convince myself that this was the right thing to do, coming here to 8. I broke mine and Peeta's unspoken promise to each other. Always protect the baby, no matter what. Hadn't I been prepared to leave Peeta to the fog during the Games? And Peeta has already sacrificed himself in order to protect our children.

By coming here, I've practically thrown it all back in his face.

Suddenly, I hear Haymitch barking in my ear. "Katniss!"

"I'm here!" I yell back. Another bomb racks the earth and I can feel my feet begin to tremble underneath me. "Get me out of here!" I plead with him.

"Alright listen to me. We can't land cutting be bombings but it's important that they don't know you're there."

"They haven't seen me?" I question.

"Intelligence doesn't think so. Now this is where you need to pay attention. There is a blue warehouse to your right, do you see it?" He asks and I turn to look.

"Yes, I see it."

"Okay good, when I tell you you're gonna run as fast as you can to it. I didn't get you out of that arena just to have you die."

"Protect her." Boggs tells Rye and Gale, Haymitch must be in everyone's ear. They surround me, not even allowing a gap between them.

Stuck like glue. Rye had said that he would stick by me and he's going through with his plan.

"Go!" I hear Haymitch yell and we all run straight towards the blue warehouse, not even stopping when another bomb falls.

Protect her Katniss, protect our baby girl.

A girl, Peeta always wanted a girl.

One more bomb hits the ground and Gale throws himself on me. He's so close that I can hear his heartbeat, feel his breath. "You okay?" He asks and I nod my head, noting the pain that is increasing in my abdomen.

"How you holding up Rosy Posie?" I hear from across the warehouse. I smile and turn my head to catch a glimpse of Rye's blonde hair.

"I'm okay," I say hoping to ease everyone's worries.

"I don't get why they brought more bombs, there's nothing left of the district." Gale says.

"It doesn't make any sense, the only thing that's left is the wounded." I think aloud with him and our eyes lock.

"The hospital." We say in unison and both stand quickly. "They're after the wounded." We tell the room.

"That's not our problem, we need to get you back to the hovercraft." Boggs tells me and I shake my head running towards a ladder that hangs down in the room. I climb it quickly and manage to reach the roof finding Paylor and other soldiers with guns.
