Chapter 27 Starting New

Scott's POV

"Good morning beautiful" I said to Mitch as reveille blew.

"Is it morning already?" he whined

"Come on, you have to get up,"

"Ugh, fine" he rolled his eyes and we all started laughing.

I helped him get ready and we headed to breakfast.

"I want coffee" he whined

"I know, I do too" I replied

"Can I have coffee?" He asked Esther

"Don't tell anyone it's coffee, if they ask, it's hot chocolate. Scott do you want too?" She replied

"Yeah, thanks"

Mitch was smiling. He has the most beautiful smile.

"You're seriously the best" Mitch said when Esther handed him the coffee "Mmmm... I've missed this"

"Yeah me too"

We walked into music and everyone was looking at us.

"You're late!" Ben exclaimed 

"We're really sorry, we promise it won't happen again. We would've been on time but-"

"Hey, look, it's the first time you don't need to explain yourself, this time"

"We're really sorry"

"Alright, let's get started"

We sang through the song a couple times and it sounded really, really good. Having Kevin on the cello was a great touch, but also a huge risk. We take risks and hope for the best, but sometimes that doesn't necessarily happen. We've been very lucky so far in the fact that that hasn't happened yet, but a new week brings a new set of challenges. 

Kirstin's POV

I couldn't have been more excited for theater, the one thing that was worrying me was Jeremy. I spent yesterday with him, by the lake, which has become our hangout spot. He cried for hours saying things like "They betrayed me", "I thought they were my friends" or "How could they" but didn't give me any context as to what was actually going on.

We were walking back to the bunks and he seemed pretty upset

"Hey, do you want to tell me what's going on?" I asked

"Later" he responded

"Alright, then get excited for evening activity, I have a special surprise planned"

"Can you tell me?"

"It's a surprise"

"Fine. Do you really want me to tell you what's going on"

"Yeah"

"We're at your bunk"

"I don't have to go in now"

"Alright, so you know Jack and Ethan,"

"Yeah"

"They betrayed me"

"How"

"You know how I told you about my mom, being a-"

"Yeah"
