"We all have that one secret that can break someone's heart"

"What secret do you think he's talking about?" Barry asked, obviously bewildered. Caitlin shook her head and then looked over at the treadmill room.

"I don't know dude, but you better find out soon," Cisco suggested.

Caitlin was staring at the treadmill room by accident. "Everything ok?" Barry asked, a little annoyed.

Caitlin nodded and turned her head back towards everyone. Joe walked in to get the update.

"What's going on?" Joe asked, staring at Caitlin whom he didn't know was back.

Barry explained the whole situation with the secret and Caitlin explained her whole deal, not the Natalie part, of course. Joe seemed a little shocked by all the information he was getting, but told everyone he'd keep an eye out for this metahuman.

Everyone seemed very tired. Caitlin was more tired than anyone would ever know. Team Flash assumed she was tired from all the moving stuff, but they would never know the real reason.

Joe decided to go first. He was tired, after all he was a working cop, a dad to a heartbroken son, a daughter pining for that heartbroken son, and a troublemaker son. On Barry's way out of the cortex he hugged Caitlin and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Cisco left after Barry, giving Caitlin a friendly hug on his way out. Now, it was just Caitlin. On her way out she picked up Natalie, who was still sound asleep, and carried her out to the car. Caitlin strapped Natalie into the carseat and then began to drive home.

It was early the next morning when Caitlin was being shaken awake. She opened her eyes and saw Natalie standing with a huge smile. Caitlin took a deep breathe and then got out of bed to make breakfast.

Barry woke up with a smile, something he hadn't done in a while. Yesterday wasn't a dream, like it normally was, it was real. He got up out of bed and got ready. He was sitting at the table, eating his breakfast, when Iris sat down across from him.

Caitlin handed Natalie cereal in a Sofia the First bowl and then turned on the tv to Disney Junior. Natalie was engrossed of the fabulousness of Sofia the First, giving Caitlin a chance to step away and shower.

"Why are you all smiles today? I'm not complaining, it's just you haven't smiled in a while," Iris pointed out.

"Caitlin came back," Barry smiled, causing Iris to frown.

Iris lowered her head and then left the table to finish her breakfast elsewhere. Barry knew that Caitlin coming back would reopen old wounds, but he just wanted Caitlin.

Caitlin got Natalie ready for daycare and then grabbed a breakfast bar before heading out to drop Natalie off at daycare.

Caitlin arrived at STAR Labs at the same time as Barry. She ran, as quickly as she could with heels on, to get a hug from Barry. Caitlin jumped up and Barry caught her. Caitlin rested her head on his shoulder and then leaned back to look at him. They both smiled at each other and then Barry set Caitlin down. The two walked into STAR Labs hand in hand.

"Did you see another guy while you were away? You're holding my hand differently," Barry asked.

Caitlin must have been holding his hand the way she would hold Natalie's hand. "No, I guess I'm still getting used to having my hand in yours," Caitlin completely lied.

"Well get used to it," Barry smiled before kissing her.

Caitlin smiled and they walked into the cortex. Cisco joined in with the two only a few minutes later. The three were talking, mostly catching up, when Caitlin's phone rang.

"Natalie doesn't have her inhaler," The teacher informed Caitlin.

"I'll bring it right over," Caitlin replied.

Barry and Cisco continued the conversation while Caitlin took her phone call. When she had finished she excused herself and then left. Barry and Cisco were puzzled. Ever since Caitlin had come back she had seemed very secretive.

Caitlin drove over to the daycare. Apparently Natalie's inhaler had fallen out of her backpack in the car, so she didn't have to drive all the way back to her house. The daycare center looked like the one from Toy Story 3, a movie Caitlin had seen too much. She walked in, dropped off the inhaler, and drove back.

When Caitlin walked into the cortex she heard the metahuman alarms going off and Barry was gone. Caitlin sat down quickly and began to check over Barry's vitals.

"Figured out the secret yet Flash?" The metahuman asked.

Caitlin was getting more and more tense with each word. The metahuman knew her secret and was about to spill it to Barry. It was times like these she had superspeed so she could run to where Barry was and knock this guy out before he could say anything.

"What is it?" Barry yelled.

"You're a father," The metahuman said as he went away.

Dear readers,

I had a major case of writers block. I knew where this chapter was heading, I just didn't know how to translate my thoughts into words so I'm sorry for being absent. All it took was for me to read some really awesome fanfic, so, thank you anoddvariety for writing the best Lucaya fanfic I've ever read.
