"It's a love story baby just say yes"

Caitlin was crying of happiness now. She nodded. "Yes," Caitlin whispered. Barry got up and kissed her on the lips. The two shared a short kiss before Barry slipped the ring on her ring finger. Caitlin held out her hand to get a good look at the ring on her finger. "Oh my god it's beautiful," Caitlin said in awe.

"You like it?" Barry asked as he stared at the ring with her.

"I love it and you," Caitlin smiled at Barry.

"I love you too" Barry smiled back.

The two shared a kiss before Cisco showed up with Natalie. He waved them over to the car. Caitlin offered to help clean up everything, but Barry's speed did the trick just fine. Everything, besides the cooler with ice cream, was packed into a picnic basket. The two lifted the paper lanterns in the sky before heading to the car.

"Did you say yes mommy?" Natalie asked.

"She knew?" Caitlin was astonished by the fact that Natalie knew and never told her.

"Well I had to get her approval didn't I?" Barry laughed.

Natalie re-asked her question to which Caitlin replied by showing off her perfect ring. Cisco and Natalie cheered to show their excitement. Caitlin and Barry got in the car, letting Natalie sit in between them.

Cisco dropped everyone off at their houses. Barry was smiling as he entered the West house. Of course he wouldn't tell anyone he proposed and she said yes, he didn't want the fake excitement from people he knew didn't support him.

He used his speed to change out of his suit and tie and get into bed. Even though he needed sleep he was too awake from everything that happened tonight. As he lay in bed his phone went off with a text from Caitlin.

Ca: Going to STAR Labs or police station for work tomorrow?

B: Police station :(

Ca: Oh :( Can I come?

B: Please do :)

With it confirmed Caitlin was coming to work with him tomorrow, Barry was able to sleep.

The Next Day

Barry was at work, waiting. He decided to come early so he could be there when Caitlin arrived. Today work would be interesting, unlike pretty much every other day. He rotated in his spinny chair as he waited. Every so often he would start a case but never be able to finish it with all the excitement pumping through his body.

Caitlin dropped Natalie off at daycare. She would've broughten Natalie with but she knew Natalie would break a piece of equipment in Barry's lab. Everything was pretty close near by, so it wasn't long before she arrived at the police station. She texted Barry should would be coming up any minute now and entered the elevator.

Barry was standing by the elevator waiting for the next group of people to come up. The elevator dinged and the doors opened revealing two cops and Caitlin. Caitlin was still on her phone, but when she looked up she smiled. She gave Barry a kiss and the locked her hand in his.

Captain Singh saw an unfamiliar women in his police station walking up to the CSI labs with Barry. He walked over and asked Barry, "Who might this be?"

"This is my fiancee, Caitlin," Barry introduced her.

Little did Barry know Joe was within earshot. Joe walked over and stood next to Captain Singh. Barry and Caitlin both tensed up. They did not want a lecture today or ever for that matter.

"Are you here for the day?" Captain Singh asked to which Caitlin nodded. "Don't break anything."

"I won't sir. If anything I'll help, I'm a scientist too," Caitlin smiled.

"Good," Captain Singh smiled. "Barry needs to speed up."

Caitlin and Barry held back a laugh as he walked away. They would've gone upstairs but Joe was still standing in front of them with an eyebrow raised.

"Barry, can I talk to you?" Joe asked and pulled Barry aside. "Your fiancee?"

"Um, yeah, about that," Joe seemed pissed. "I kinda asked her to marry me and she said yes."

"We'll talk about this later," Joe said without separating his lips.

Caitlin and Barry walked up, hand in hand, to his lab. Caitlin hadn't been there in a while, but, to her, something was different. She looked around, everything seemed to be in the same spot. Instead of looking any more she looked down at Barry who was working on a case. Then she found it. There was pictures on his desk. She smiled and picked each one up separately to see each one up close.

After the work day was done, Caitlin went back to the daycare center to pick up Natalie and Barry went to the West house. Caitlin had invited Barry over to dinner that night so Barry could at least get away from Joe and Iris for a little bit.

Barry walked into the house and saw Joe standing in the living room, waiting. Barry took a deep breathe and went to face him.

"You're out of your mind! Do you have any idea what this will do to our family, to Iris?" Joe yelled.

"Our family will have gained an amazing daughter\sister in law and an adorable niece\granddaughter," Barry sassed, not raising his voice. "And, last I checked, you, Iris, and Wally are a family, I'm just the out of place metahuman whos parents happened to have been killed."

"I am your legal guardian though, therefore you have to do what I say and I say break up with her," Joe was still yelling.

"Guardian, not dad, and I'm pretty sure that rule applies until I'm eighteen. I'm older than eighteen, therefore I don't have do anything you say," Barry emphasized.

"You still live under my roof, therefore you live under my rules," Joe raised his voice louder than anything would have thought it could go.

"Not anymore. I'll find my own place. Maybe I'll go live with my fiancee and my daughter, maybe I'd feel at home there!" Barry screamed.

Barry walked out the door, slamming it shut behind him.
