"All aboard the scorpion train! YEEHAA!" Jason hollered.

Blackjack never thought the guy was childish before this. Piper smirked at her boyfriend with amusement.

The door behind them crashed to the floor and broke into pieces when a large foot stepped on it. It was a wonder the foot wasn't covered in splinters.

Agrius stared at the trespassers, forced to squint in the dim light. His eyes widened in surprise when he saw the two humans in the room.

"DEMIGODS?!" he yelled. Charging into the room, he raised his two fists and slammed downwards at the intruders. If they hadn't moved quickly, they would have been squished into four very bloody pancakes.

Blackjack and Grover skidded across the slippery floor, eventually falling down, unable to regain their balance. The scorpion creature, surprisingly, didn't fall, but landed gracefully after jumping out of the way of the fists.

Piper drew her dagger, getting ready for a fight, though Blackjack didn't see how a dagger that small could defeat a Giant. Plus, they'd need a deity to help them.

...or not.

Jason had crept up behind Agrius on the scorpion. The thing raised one of its bronze clubs and slammed it on the Giant's head, dusting him instantly.

Piper, looking miffed she didn't get to do anything, sheathed her dagger, huffing.

"THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" Jason announced, bouncing up and down on the scorpion's back as it did some kind of weird victory dance.

Ugh. That's all I'm saying.
