Chapter Twenty-Five

(Jeffery's P.O.V.)

I was walking down the street with Ben, who was a bit hyperactive at the moment. We walked into the candy shop and bought a shitload of candy. I smiled at Ben, which felt unusual. Ever since this change everything has been so. . . . Different. It was as if I'd never met Keith, Randy, and Troy. As if I've been this way my whole life, but never have known it. I was so lost in my thoughts that I hadn't noticed Ben was talking. "Where to next, babe?" he asked. "We need to get some food, I'm starving," I said with a slight smirk. Ben nodded and smiled. We continued to walk down the street until Ben complained about being cold. I took off my hoodie and gave it to him, remembering I was still wearing my black tee-shirt.

We walked into a McDonald's and went up to the counter, scanning the menu. Ben got a Kids meal and I got a BigMac and a medium fry. We sat in a small booth and ate our food. Ben looks like he's about ten and I look twenty, thank God. "Jeffery, I love you," Ben said in-between bites of chicken nuggets. I smiled nervously and whispered, "Even though we've changed, I still love you more than you could ever imagine." Once we finished, we threw our things away and headed home.

Even though this new life may be different from our old one, I'll never stop loving Ben. No matter how difficult our lives may seem, no matter how much we argue, I will always love Ben. It may not be forever, but it will at least be until I die, and even then I'll love him. Weather I'm burning in Hell or flying in Heaven, I'll love him.
