Hello. I'm Alex. Old fashioned name I know, but I was raised old-fashioned.

I work for SHIELD. The only reason I do is cos I'm a direct descendant of Phil Coulson; one of SHIELD's top agents... Or he was forty years ago. I know that isn't how SHIELD used to work, but...

Lemmie explain.

SHIELD has changed in the past forty years. I don't know the details (no one does) but Nick Fury disappeared and someone else started running it. Since then, it all went downhill.

First it was just rumours of agents killing and going after innocent people, then they were true. Agents wanted to leave because of what SHIELD was doing now, but soon those agents started disappearing. Only a few stayed by their own choice. The rest were forced to stay and work.

The Avengers disappeared as well. Soon SHIELD -or what it did- was just a myth. Now they just dispatched agents to kill people that stood in their way. No one knew what their goal was; not even their own workers. But I found out, and it wasn't pretty.

Alexandra Coulson is the great granddaughter of Phil Coulson. She works for a now-rouge SHIELD (not by her own choice) in the year 2053.

After the first signs of SHIELD turning to the wrong side, Steve Rodgers aka Captain America ran, along with the rest of the Avengers, into hiding.

After about twenty years of SHIELD like this, Alex's mother found Rodgers and gave her to him, thinking she would be safer with him than her because SHIELD was close to finding her. (She had been looking into SHIELD's change during the twenty years.)

Rodgers took Alex reluctantly and raised her as his own as best he could as they were on the run.

When she turned twenty, SHIELD found them. They killed Rodgers and forced Alex to work for them.

She worked there for a couple years, managing to not get any missions where she had to kill innocent people, but she had seen plenty of her friends have to do it.

She heard many rumours about who was in charge now and how it had all started, so she began to look into it. She found out what SHIELD's goal was and immediately worked towards stopping them at any cost.

Hi! My writers block is FINALLY gone and I came up with this! Please tell me if you've heard of a fanfic like this cos I'm really excited and proud of this idea. And please don't take it.
