1 day later,

It was almost evening. Uee was going to leave for work within 15 minutes.

"So? This dress won't work too?" Uee tossed her 4th party wear on the bed in annoyance. "REMI!"

"I don't want to go. You aren't going as well. Why should I?" Remi shrugged her shoulders as she slopped down on the bed. The evening party was organized by CEO of Beaksoo's enterprise for his son Yifan. Although the big announcement was kept a secret from the employees, Remi knew that he was going to handover his entire hard work in the hands of the ultimate slacker she called Kris.

"Stop acting like a child and listen to your unnie. It is such an important day for our friend."

"You think Kris deserves this? He even can't handle girls. And he also dropped Lay into our laps to take care of his baby friend." She rolled her eyes.

Uee laughed hysterically. "Remi... seriously... but still Kris did much for us." She pouted.

"He gave us a place to live? Why are you so thankful to him just over such a thing?" Remi glared in disbelief. She couldn't hate Kris more than this.

Uee huffed and sat down beside Remi. "He's a friend who taught me to live when I was down."

"Oh really! He doesn't know what to do with his life. How can he teach you to live?"

"I told you what I had to say. I don't really know what's his role in your story... but I know its something big."

Remi paused but as the past images again revolved into her brain, she shut it down. "A non-serious guy like him! You must be kidding me. He can't play big."

"Wait..." Uee showed her palm to Remi while reading a text. "I'll be back in 1 minute." She stood up and patted Remi's back.

"Yeah...." Remi murmured down heartedly.

Uee walked to the door and left. As soon as she came out, she saw Lay in a full suit. She could peak inside at the waist coat he was wearing under his silver coat. She eyed him from head to toe and smirked in amazement. In excitement of watching him she didn't notice a long deep V-neck black dress in his hands.

"Uee.... ask her to wear this." Lay placed forth the dress in his hand. "Please."

"So, this is the reason you texted me to come out of the room? I am so jealous now. You know how cute your little acts are?" She giggled.

"Please." He requested.

She grinned and snatched the dress from his hands. "Aigoo... its so soft."

"Is it pretty?" He questioned hesitatingly.

"I'll be back. We don't have time. By the way, you look exotic." She again glided inside the room. "Remi dear, here you go. This ones not used."

"Unnie... I said I am not going." Remi hid her head in her lap.

"You know you have to look twice as good cuz you'll represent me there too." She handed the dress over to Remi.

Remi looked up and wrinkled her nose. "Just for you."

The instant Remi uttered those words, Lay entered the room. Remi's eyes guided her way to his eyes.

"Oh you look nice, Lay. Like a present day Prince. I bet you can defeat Kris in looks." Uee winked at Lay and then smirked at Remi who wasn't really looking at either now.

"He can't." Remi mumbled as she pressed her fingers against the dress in her hands.

Lay remained silent. She was even more awkward from the past 1 day. She avoided Lay as much as she could, as if she wanted to keep herself a secret to him, a confidential being whom Lay could never unveil. Sure he did seem to exploit her in their last encounter, but that's what she wanted too, at least that's what Lay wanted to think.
