" Ah, I found it!" You thought as you skimmed through the bookshelf at the bookstore you were at. Grabbing the book you wanted, you keep looking for the sequel, noticing it's on the very top shelf. Groaning silently, you try to tippy toe and reach but you're still too short.
" Need some help?" A deep voice asks. You whip around to see a tall, very handsome guy standing in front of you.
" Uh, yes, thank you.." You said just as he smiles shyly at you. He reaches over, grabbing the book with ease, then giving it to you. Taking the book, his fingers brush against yours, making the both of you slightly flustered.
" T-that's a really good book. You have good taste." He said in a low voice.
" Thanks, I'm Anna by the way." You said.
" Wonwoo." He said simply. You smile awkwardly, trying to come up with more of a conversation because, well, he's gorgeous and it's not everyday an attractive guy would help you.
" Have you read this book before?" You ask gesturing to the book you have in hand.
" Yes actually, I really like it. I read a lot so I try to get new books every time I come here." Wonwoo said with a smile.
" I haven't read it yet, only the first one. What do you like about it?"
" The story line and how the characters always get over their challenges." Wonwoo said. You can't help but grin, he's a really big bookworm. As if on cue, your phone buzzes, your mother asking where you were at. You curse in your head, you were wanting to keep talking to him.
" I.. I have to go.." You said trying not to sound disappointed. His face falls slightly, but he recovers quickly as he gets out his phone.
" I-I want to get to know you better Anna. Maybe we could go out for coffee and talk more sometime?" Wonwoo asks hopeful. Your eyes widen slightly, staring at him.
" Wait, are you asking me out?"
" Well, yeah. Unless you don't want to." Wonwoo said with a small smirk.
" No it's not that..." You said as a red blush covers your cheeks. You then exchange phone numbers.
" I'll see you later then Anna." Wonwoo said with a smile. Your heart flutters as you hurry to pay for your books. As you walk out to the parking lot, you can't help but think that there are perks to being short.
