((AN: this story has been a little boring lately, bare with me!!))

||KYNDALL POV||

The morning after my birthday, I woke up in Josh's arms again, feeling safe and warm. He must have felt me stir, because he started waking up shortly after me. He yawned, making me yawn after.

"Good morning gorgeous," he said with a smile. I smiled and sighed, still groggy and tired.

"What's on the agenda today?" I asked, picking my phone up from the night stand and handing Josh his. He groaned as soon as he opened the lock screen.

"Ashley decided to stay another week. She wants to hang out."

"Let's just hang out one last time. Maybe she'll let it go." I suggested.

"Are you sure?" Josh asked.

"Yeah, if it goes wrong, oh well."

We forced ourselves out of bed and started slowly getting ready for the day.

"Hey, did you wash the pineapple sweater?" I asked. That sounded funny.

"Yeah! I set it on your dresser," Josh yelled in the middle of brushing his teeth. I slipped it on over a white shirt, keeping my senses up for tingly skin. So far so good. With jeans and some nikes, we met Ashley at the same coffee shop.

Josh ordered us two chai lattes while we waited. I was glad he like them too. This time, we made it a point to sit on the same side of the booth. Josh leaned over to me.

"Your hair smells good." He said, sort of sniffing my hair. I laughed.

"Thanks?"

"Oh sorry, what that weird?" He asked.

"Nah, not at all." I joked, making him laugh.

She walked in.

"Hey!" She sat down at the booth and set her coat in the seat beside her, smiling her same, fake smile.

"I'm glad we could meet up." She said with a smile.

"Yeah." I said.

"Nice sweater, where'd you get it?" You had to hear her tone to understand. In that moment, i knew she was responsible for the pineapple incident. All i could do was glare at her in shock.

"Ashley, are you serious right now?" Josh asked.

"What do you mean?" She gave him a big, fake smile. I wanted to reach over the table and punch her teeth in.

Instead, I grabbed my latte and my coat and sat in the car, hoping that Josh would join me eventually. I could see them in the window, he was angry.

||JOSH POV||

Kyndall looked like she was about to grab her by the throat. What she did next surprised me. She stood up and just left. Ashley stayed quiet for a few seconds, a rarity.

"Wow, she's crazy." She said.

"She's crazy? She's the crazy one? You're insane Ashely. That was ridiculous!" I wasn't really yelling, but I was loud.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

I hated the way she said that, so snarky.

"Ashley, you are a horrible person, inside and out." I did it. I said what I was thinking. I had always tolerated her and brushed her off. I guess I just... Snapped. The looked at me, shocked.

"Good luck on your single." I stood up and headed for the car.

"What happened?" Kyndall asked as soon as I sat down.
