Brandon Block slept contently. He dreamed of his smiling friends as they won the game Risen Territory, the world turning to normal as they finally defeated the terrifying game, Shinsekai. The team parting ways to find a new way of life.
Until suddenly, his dream completely changed.
As he walked through the corridor, he could hear his bickering parents' voices coming from inside a bright room.
'Why must we do this?' he heard his mother ask angrily. 'He's only a child! He has rights as well! We should ask him first.'
'No!' Brandon's father yelled. 'He would be against the procedure, and then what? We would have to find another child with such great abilities as him, and that is rare! We might as well be killed for our incompetence!'
Brandon backed away from the door, fear filling his mind, and he turned and ran to his room, shutting himself in and staring out the window, looking up at the moonlight then at the tree-lined streets of...
The dream ended, leaving Brandon scared and shivering with cold sweat covering his face. 'Where was that?'
