Chapter 41

"Serena! Wake up!"
"What? Who's there?"
"Your boyfriend, also a Pikachu with thunderbolt on standby." I jumped up from bed and looked at Ash angrily, "You wouldn't, Ash Ketchum!" I looked down at Pikachu, whose cheeks were sparking. Oh...Ash you are in serious trouble! "I've been trying to wake you for fifteen minutes now!"
"Well as you can see, I am up!" I said in a snarky tone. I got up and went into the bathroom without saying a word to Ash. I was not in a good mood. I hopped into the shower and got ready. I brushed my teeth, put on some clothes and came out of the bathroom. "I'm heading to the cafeteria with Misty, Clemont and Bonnie. Come whenever you're ready." Ash said as he walked out. Misty. I'm not in a mood to chase Ash around. If he does anything with her, I'll just become Kalos Queen and find another guy. I just sat on the bed with Pikachu. "Is he always like this Pikachu?" Pikachu shook his head and replied "Pika pi pikachu! (He cares a lot about you but you did kinda lash out at him again.) "
"You're right. Let's go meet up with him and the others. Do you think he'll do anything with Misty?" The yellow furball shook his head. He jumped onto my shoulder as I headed out of the room. "Hopefully you're right, Pikachu." He didn't say anything. I just kept walking down the stairs to the cafeteria. Once I got there, I saw Ash and Misty talking. Ash must've saw me because he came over to me. "Hey Serena. Are you hungry?" he said as he kissed my cheek. "I guess. I'm sorry about earlier." Ash pulled me to a table and said, "No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have threatened to use Pikachu on you." Soon, the rest gathered with us. They all had trays of food. Ash and I excused ourselves to get us our food. It was lunchtime so I could smell leftover breakfast items and such from the cafeteria. I walked with Ash and finally brought up what was in my mind, "Ash, what did Misty ask you last night?" He responded by leaning in and whispering what Misty had asked. It caused me to go red. I told Ash, "Maybe some night this week. It could wait till after you beat clement or after we go to the carnival tonight." Ash nodded in agreement as we got our trays and each got our food. I got a burger as my main dish with mashed potatoes and corn. I also got two decent sized cookies too. After Ash and I payed for our meals, we sat down with the rest of the group. By the time we had sat down, the other three were almost halfway down with their meals. I sat down and began eating when my ohone vibrated. I forgot I left it on vibrate last night. I pulled it out to see a message from the same unknown number, "I'll be watching you tonight. Ash is mine so stay away from him." I was getting annoyed with this so I replied, "Ash is mine and he intends on marrying me so back off. Do not threaten me again!" I need to talk with Ash about this later. I spoke up, "Hey, we are going to the carnival today, right?" Everyone else nodded. As soon as I asked, Bonnie lit up with excitement. I was excited too but not just because it was a carnival. I would be able to ride all those intense rides with Ash and when I get scared, I can grab onto him. The daydream of that happening made me even more excited as I snapped out of it. I took a few bites out of my burger and decided I wasn't really hungry for a burger. I decided to finish my potatoes and corn so I didn't make anyone worry, especially Ash. He was really overprotective of me. I loved that about him. I noticed as I finished up that everyone else was done, including Ash. That's no surprise actually. Ash is a really fast eater. I got up and threw my trash away and returned the tray. I went up to Ash and said, "Ash can we talk in private, there's something that I think you need to know." He nodded and got up and followed me to a private area. I made sure it was just us. After making sure we were completely alone apart from Pikachu, I showed him the mysterious messages. He seemed shocked and said, " Could it be Kate? I don't know how she got ahold of your number. She had mine but not yours." I responded with "I don't know anyone else that would have some obsession with you...that is still alive anyhow." That last bit made us both shudder from what happened that night. ash tried calming me down, "Let's keep our guardian trio on alert tonight then." I chuckled and asked, "Is that what we're referring to Pikachu, Braixen, and Greninja as now? Guardian Trio. Clever!" He chuckled at my statement as we headed back to the group. They greeted us and Clemont asked, "So what are we doing today?" I shrugged and replied, "I guess the carnival. It is supposed to be big from what I hear. Might as well spend the whole day there." Bonnie and Ash nodded in agreement. Misty nodded and said, "Yeah! Let's go!" Clemont did not seem to exited, probably fear of extreme rides. We'll be there for him but he has to get on at least one. I'm not letting him off with not riding one. "Come on! Let's go already!" I hollered excitedly, walking towards the exit. "Serena, I have to go get my pokemon. Just in case I need them." Ash spoke as he headed back toward the stairwell. I shrugged then remembered I didn't have Braixen's pokeball. I ran after Ash. Once I caught up, I asked, "Did you really forget your pokeballs? That doesn't seem like you." He winked at me and replied, "No, of course not," he showed his belt with all his pokeballs, "but I figured you did. Plus I forgot my wallet. I payed for lunch with what money I somehow hadn't put in my wallet that I had in my pocket." I giggled at him as we reached our room. I grabbed my pokeballs and watched Ash grab his wallet and we headed to the lobby together. We met up with the others and started to walk all the way across Lumiose city. "To the Carnival!" I shouted and got ahead of everybody else. Bonnie came up with me and yelled, "Yeah! Woo Carnival!" We all laughed as we headed the way to the carnival
