"It's all part of your work, Howard. You as a Xavierheld Elite. Why would you have to apologize?" I said as he gazed through me using his sorrowful eyes.

I just looked at him. Hindi ko alam kung bakit kusang ganoon lang ang tanging expression na nagawa ko.

I can feel his sincerity but bakit ganito? Bakit wala akong maramdaman? Bakit tila'y hindi tumatama ang kanyang mga salita saaking damdamin?

"Coz I used your trust and kindness. I did not mean to do that.. I just want you to know that, I am very sorry, Ielvy."

He mournfully said with his sincere amber eyes. I immediately grasped the cup on my hand. May kung anong bagay ang aking nadama daan upang ako'y bahagyang matigilan.

I know, alam ko, and I'm fully aware that he's just doing what the military is telling him to do so. Ngunit bakit..? Bakit parang pasan niya ang mundo sakanyang balikat?!

People are always the same. They are good to you when they just need something, they are praising you wherein fact they stab you from behind.

They wear a special mask. Mask that can fool people on a single smile. Masks that conceals the true motive of a person.

Those people had beaten me up so bad, my soul had turned black and I too had nothing to do but wear the mask of happiness wherein fact I'm shattered crying inside.

And they are everywhere. And they are unforgiving. F*ck life.

But.. how come he's so sincere towards apologizing? I never had the chance to hear such words for me, not until now.
