“Move it more to the left,” you said, standing back in the kitchen as you watched Calum obey your word and moving the large, decorated Christmas tree to appease you.

“Better?” he asked, standing up and looking at you.

You stopped and looked at it for a moment before nodding, “It’s perfect.”

He smiled in relief and walked over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist.

“Sorry for slaving you around,” you giggled, “I just become a bit of a perfectionist around the holidays.”

“I can tell,” he laughed, kissing your forehead.

“Ready to put the star on top?” you asked.

He nodded and you walked into the living room together. Calum handed you the silver star.

“Calum, I can’t reach the top,” you said.

“Well, it’s our first Christmas together, so we should put the star on top together.”

He placed his hands on your waist and hoisted you up into the air where you placed the star on top of the Christmas tree.

When he lowered you to the ground, you spun around and kissed him.

“Merry Christmas, baby,” he whispered.
