The sun was already up in the sky, its brightness painting the world in new colors. But even if the scenery looked so alive under it, you were far from it. It seemed like its rays were just adding to your pain. Taehyung helped you get into the backseat of the car. You could barely walk, cold sweat covering your forehead. Your mouth was dry and your lips were chopped as if it has been ages since they last touched water. He placed a hand on your forehead.

"You're burning...Damn it, Y/N!" He growled.

You looked at him through your half-closed eyes as your heavy breaths filled the air. His brows were knitted together in anger. But it was not aggressive, it was more like a mix of regret, frustration, pain, concern and fear. Fear that you remembered Jungkook, fear that he will lose you, fear of being abandoned again, betrayed. Your fingers found their way to his face, caressing it with their cold touch.

"You're hurt..."

"Are you serious right now?! Do you even look at yourself?"

"It's ok...everything is ok...thank you...for finding me." You showed him a faint smile, one that could reassure him that nothing changed.

But something did change. And you could feel it deep inside. The one who betrayed Taehyung turned out to be your savior while the one you trusted so much hid something from you. It was all so confusing, but doubt already started to grow in your heart. You have been there before, being lied and cheated on by the one you loved. And yet, you could never get used to it. At this point it was as if your mind was filled with thoughts but empty at the same time. The pain coming from your shoulder helped in that way.

Jungkook was walking towards the car when Taehyung closed the door. His steps were slow and heavy, his mind troubled. Taehyung's feet started moving towards the other with big steps. The fingers of his right hand flew to Jungkook's neck, applying enough force to make him uncomfortable. Jungkook grabbed his arm, brows furrowing.

"Don't get your hopes up, punk. She's mine!" Taehyung spit.

"This proves just how scared you are. Let go-" He pushed his hand away.

"You're gonna pay for everything. You just wait. I'm gonna make you suffer for everything you've done. Get in! Y/N can't wait any longer. If she dies, it's all on you!" He said as he moved towards his seat.

Jungkook was heading towards the back of the car. He wanted to be next to you. He knew just how badly you were hurt and the fact that he was the cause was killing him slowly.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going, punk?!" Taehyung screamed. "You don't get to sit next to her."

"Shut the fuck up!! Can't you see the state she's in?"

"And whose fault is that, Jungkookie?!" They were exchanging dark looks. "I don't care if you want to come or not. I could've killed you just now and get over with it. I'm doing this for her! Be grateful that you're still breathing. Front seat!"

Jungkook looked at the window again, fingers lingering over the handle. He eventually had to do whatever Taehyung ordered. There were still many things that he wanted to find out. How did you end up in Yoongi's hands, the one who tried to kill you? How could you fall for Taehyung? How could you not remember him? He got into the car without complaining and turned around to check on you. Taehyung looked at you through the mirror. Your head was glued to the window, eyes lost in the distance. Your chest rose and fell at a steady pace. They both seemed really worried.

They kept doing that every now and then during the ride. And you kept looking worse by the minute. Your breathing started to get irregular, moans and sighs escaping your small mouth. Jungkook could not take it anymore. He rose from his seat and pushed his body through the small space between him and Taehyung to the back of the car.
