"I'm 5'5, brown skin, 100% African-American, basically 8 months pregnant with a baby girl on the way, happily taken by Devontay K Williams" I said into the phone hoping Sunny doesn't trip, because I'm now telling him I'm in a relationship.
"What you mean happily taken?" He said with a tone of confusion and anger.
"We've been together for almost 11 months"
Sunny was going to have to find out sooner, or later. How was I going to hide someone I think about constantly, and let along I'm having his baby. Besides not telling him about Devontay made me feel guilty.
"Why you now telling me? Ania do you not realize that I've been growing some real ass feelings for you?!" He said basically yelling.
"Bae why you out here? Everybody been inside looking for you for a few hours now." Devontay says sounding concerned.
"I'll talk to you later" I said to sunny while hanging up as he was still talking.
"I was just stepping out for a sec... I was thinking." I never lied like this in my life before.
"Come inside with me. I can't have my baby out here getting sick."
When we walked back in, I seen everybody getting ready to eat. Ever since I've been pregnant I've been craving basically everything all day, everyday. Sometimes it felt like I was pregnant with twins.
"Dev! Do I get to meet yo lil girlfriend or what?" I'm guessing this was one of Devontay's cousins being loud as hell and ratchet.
"Laquita, This is Ania, Ania this is my cousin Laquita." Devontay seemed annoyed when introducing us, but I just ignored it.
"Damn! You bouta bust any minute!" Laquita Said while looking at my stomach.
This female been saying rude comments all night bout people. She lucky I'm pregnant, or I would have checked her ass. It's a shame how some people never think before they say something.
"Laquita Shut up!" Dev said while grabbing my hand.
"No need to get sensitive, I'm just saying what I see." Laquita Said
"She'll be born on January 1st" I say ignoring her comment.
"Ania come to my room with me" Devontay said while leading me towards his room.
"Why we up here?" I said sounding confused.
Before I could even say or ask anything else I felt Devontay putting a silver diamond necklace around my neck. This was a beautiful necklace that I surely would wear every day and cherish forever.
"Just something to help you know that I'll be by your side every moment I can be"
"Dev this is beautiful! Where did you get the money for this???"
"Bae don't worry, just know I'm sorry for not being here these past few months" he said while leaning in to kiss me.
Devontay's been saying sorry these past few days every chance he's gotten. But it's not his fault he couldn't be there. Moments like this remind me of why I fell for Dev in the first place. He always keeps his promises, and he's always. Got me when I got him. He's down for me like how a man should be in an relationship.
"Come on let's get back down stairs before they think we doin somethin." He says while leading the way.
"Good, cause I'm hungry as hell." I say following behind him.
