Guinea Pig!

hi so I got a guinea pig.

Well, it's not mine.
But I'm taking care of it over the weekend!
His name is ruffles and he's so sweet.
He nibbles and he's soft!!!!!!1!1!1!
Here's a pic

He's just a baby and he's my class pet!
Nobody could take care of him over the weekend so I decided I would!

But there was a problem I didn't think about.

I have a dog 🐶
And he's always barking.

And barking frustrates guinea pigs
And that's how they die.

So first of all when I brought him home in this huge cage, my dog was curiousss and he kept standing on his two legs to see Ruffles.
And then he started barking and it was scaring him.

So I read online that if you introduce them, then my dog will become less interested.
So I picked my dog up and let him see inside the cage.
He kept moving forward because he wanted to see, and Ruffles kept moving back.

So then my dog barked once and I put him down because I didn't want to disturb the little guy.
Along the day, I had put on some special hamster relaxation music next to his cage, and covered his cage halfway with a blanket so he would be warm.
And he sleeps like a king.

Second day, and Jesse seems to be slightly okay with Ruffles being in his house.
He doesn't bark as much anymore.

We're going to go out to breakfast with mu aunt, so I will have to leave Ruffles and Jesse alone in the house.

I managed to do that, but I ended up putting Ruffles' cage in my room, and leave the door locked.
So I hope that's going to work out!

I'm home and I'm tired already.
Now I have to clean his cage from all the waste and pee and stuff.
So I cleaned that, and I had to take him out for the cleaning, so I was playing with Ruffles while he ran back and forth around a spare drawer.
I put him back in the hallway and he seems pretty chill.

So I'm just waking up and I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth when I realize..

I could be a Hot Topic model for sure.
I looked so good in the mirror, but I'm not sure I look that good irl.

So yeah!!
Today's my last day with Ruffles and then he's off to school again.

My only question is:
How am I gonna bring him back up??
