We walked in a brightly decorated hall for what seemed like ages. Finally we stopped in front of a white door. Once Alicia pushed it open I was so used to being stunned that it didn't affect me. The vaulted ceiling and marble floors was just like the rest of the house. The room was painted a light, pastel pink and a grand piano sat empty in front of a wall of windows. Slowly, I stepped through the threshold and strolled over to the piano, running my fingers lightly over the ivory keys before sitting down.

"Name a song," I whispered into the throbbing silence.

"Holy by Florida Georgia Line," Cassy whispered back.

I recalled the song and converted the beat into piano notes inside my head. I repeated it over and over until it stuck inside my mind as if I had the sheet right there with me. Taking a deep breath I placed my hands on the piano and began.

"When the sun had left and the winter came and the sky fall could only bring the rain, I sat in the darkness all broken hearted. I couldn't find a day I didn't feel alone, I never meant to cry, started losing hope. But somehow baby, you broke through and saved me," I sang, my voice reverberated off of the pink walls and came at me in beautiful harmony.

The song lasted long and when I ended I held out the last note on the piano slightly longer than normal but, I was here to show off wasn't I? I removed my hands and looked at my new found friends. Their mouths hung open and then they started to clap. I stood and Alicia came and hugged me tightly.

"That was beautiful," she whispered. She pulled away and Cassy grabbed my hands smiling.

"I knew you had a spark," she whispered. "Now let's go shopping."

"Wait I have to call James," I blurted. "This is about the time we talk."

Cassy chuckled and held my phone out to me. How had she gotten it? I looked at the screen and James's number was there. I grabbed the phone and held it up to my ear as the girls began to laugh.

"Hello?" I said into the phone laughing myself.

"Hey," his husky voice made me feel warm inside. "That was...you were...amazing."

"Thank you."

"So, watcha doing Monday night at say around midnight?" Mischief colored his tone. I should be used to this by now. Every night at midnight he comes by and we go somewhere.

"You should know by now. I'll be sleeping and waiting to hear a rock hit my window pane," I replied. The girls stopped laughing and looked at me, mouths agape.

"Oh yeah that's right," he said sarcastically. "Well make sure to have something nice on this time." The call ended and I had a very suspicious feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I shoved my phone into my pocket and laughed softly. "What? It's not like that. I swear it's not!"

"Okay, okay let's go before my mother changes her mind," Cassy said raising her hands up it mock surrender.

We laughed all the way to the car. We drove for about ten minutes before hitting the mall. Her mom said she'd be in either Bed, Bath, and Beyond or the food court if we needed her and then she left as soon as we entered the building.

The first store we headed to was Rue 21. Clothes flowed from every direction and Alicia brought me over to the dressing rooms.

"Get undressed in that booth right there and Cassy and I will be back with lots of clothes for you to try on," she said and then scampered off. I did as she told me to and waited all of two minutes before clothes were being thrown over the door.
