author's note | hello, everyone! so, this imagine is different than my usual barry or grant one. instead, it's based on grant's character chris stewart from a mother's nightmare! if you haven't seen the movie, i would totally recommend it. it's crazy, intense, and a bit of a tear jerker. anyway, here's my first chris stewart imagine!

I walked through the halls of my new school, looking around frantically for any sign that I was heading in the right direction. It was the first day of school, and I'd just moved here a week before. I didn't have any friends, or apparently, any sense of direction.

Looking at the doors labeled with their room numbers, I felt my feet stumble over themselves, my legs completely giving out, too. I fell forward, bracing myself for the impact that never came. Instead, strong arms wrapped around my torso, catching me before I could faceplant on the dirty school floors. The stranger helped me straighten myself out before I finally got a good look at his face.

He looked just as stunned as I felt, his green eyes widened slightly. He also looked like he hadn't slept in days, with dishelved hair and a paled face.

"Thank you," I murmured, mesmerized by the luck. What were the odds that he would catch me?

"Uh, yeah, no problem," he said quickly. He turned to walk around me, but I caught my hand on his sweatshirt sleeve. If he was kind enough to catch me, maybe he could point me in the right direction to my next class.

"Hey," I said. He seemed startled by my voice, but looked back to me hestitantly, questioning eyes on me. "I'm sorry, it's just, I'm new here and-"

"Seriously?" He whispered. I quieted, looking at him with curiousity. What was wrong with being new? Was it like a plague around here?

"I just need directions to Mr. Palmer's AP physics class," I frowned, biting my bottom lip. "Sorry to bother."

The guy shrugged, his cheeks becoming a light shade of pink. "No, no, it's no bother. I'm sorry," he muttered, "The science wing is right down there. Just take your first hallway on the left, then a quick right, and Palmer is your first door, also on the right." He pointed down one hallway, and I nodded, my gaze following.

"So, straight, left, left, right?" I asked, looking back at the guy.

"No, straight, left, right, right," he answered, shaking his head. "You know, I'm heading that way right now. I can show you."

I smiled gratefully, "That would be wonderful, thank you."

We started down the hallway, an uncomfortable silence filling the air. By some crazy luck I'd gotten the cutest guy I'd seen all day to escort me to class.
