Christmas Cookies
{Grant x Reader}

"Cut! Alright, everyone! That's a wrap for today!"

I held up my camera, snapping a few pictures of everyone smiling and nodding at the finish of the scene. Grant and Carlos, who were the last to film today, relaxed, breaking character. The STAR Labs set began to bustle with people all breaking down the cameras for the day.

"And remember everyone, in two days is the Christmas cookie competition!" My friend and director of wardrobe, Claire, piped up. "Anyone's welcome to compete!" Everyone cheered at her words, including myself. This was our third annual bake off, and I was the reigning champion two years in a row. I wasn't about to give up my title anytime soon, either.

"This year I'm going to compete," I heard a voice say. I looked to my left, seeing the words had come from Grant as he walked by with Carlos.

"What's the point?" Carlos chuckled, "She always wins." He glanced at me, Grant's eyes following. I gave a little wave and smile at the two as they passed, Carlos laughing softly. I wasn't super close with the cast themselves, but we knew each other and had hung out a few times in large groups.

Grant stopped in front of me, tilting his head. "Hey, Y/N," he smiled, "Ready for some new competition this year?"

I rolled my eyes, letting my camera hang loosely around my neck. "What competition, Gustin?"

Carlos laughed loudly now, patting a hand down on Grant's shoulder. "I've never seen this guy bake a day in his life," Carlos shook his head, "I think you're safe, Y/N."

I smiled at the two, nodding. "I'm sure I am."

"No, no," Grant frowned, crossing his arms. "Don't be too sure. Baking is a hidden talent of mine, you know."

"You say this to the girl who's won two years in a row," I reminded him, raising my eyebrows.

Grant shrugged, "Maybe it's time for a new winner." He looked smug and confident, which, honestly, was hilarious.

"Good luck with that, Grant," Carlos muttered, stalking away with a small smile. I shook my head, looking back at Grant, who was smirking.

"Just you wait, Y/N," Grant hummed, turning to walk away, "Just you wait." He flashed a playful smile before following Carlos off the set.

"Your cookies better be wonderful with confidence like that!" I called after him, shaking my head.

"Yeah, Claire, I just put the ingredients out," I said into my phone, holding a mixing bowl in my other hand.

"I know you're going to win," Claire replied back on the other end, "But apparently Grant's saying this year is his."
