Finally, I had only one class till lunch and thnakfully it was Student Leadership. I took my usual seat and not long after Dave joined me.

I was glad to see him, like I always was. Within the last year because of some friendship issues he'd realy become my closest and really

my only friend. He was always there for me, especially now when I needed him with this whole Andy buisness. I was totally giddy and

excited the day after the concert and now I was just a worried mess.

We sat in class for a bit and just as I was about to ask Dave if he wanted to go, I got called to the office. He was going to come with me,

but they said to bring my stuff with me because I was leaving. It was strange, because I hadn't planned on leaving early but nonetheless

I got up and left.

When I got to the office they said that the truck in front was waiting for me and that it was going to take me to lunch with my mom who

had called to set it up. Again I was a little suspicious, but I went up to the car and low and behold there he was it was Andy.

I couldn't believe it. I nearly dropped the books I was holding in my hand. What was Andy doing here? Was I really about to get in the

car with him?

"Come on Alyssa, time's a wasting." He said with a smile

"Uhh. Alright." I said as I opened the door and got in. "So am I really going to lunch with my mom?"

"Nope. I told your mom my plan and she helped me out by calling the office so that I could take you somewhere."

"So where are we going?"

"You'll see!"

The car ride was a quiet one. But I didn't know what to say. Was I suppose to ask him why he didn't call me, because it didn't seem to

me like he was thinking about that. He said that it was going to be a couple of hours, so I could go to sleep if I wanted to. I did.

I woke up to the sun shining brightly in my face and Andy smiling as he watched me. We were at the beach. Now, ya I know being at the

beach sounds so romantic, but what made me so happy was that he knew to take me here. In one of my favorite movies a guy takes his

girlfriend to the beach and they pull his truck up just to where the pavement meets the sand, sit in his trucked, and they have a pick

nick. That's exactly what we were doing. He must have heard me tell him this and remembered so he made it happen.

Could he be any sweeter? We ate, laughed and watched the waves crashing out in the ocean. After a while I decided that it would

probably be best if I asked him about why he waited so long to talk to me.

"Hey Andy, It's really sweet and all that you brought me here and I really appreciate it, but there is something I don't understand. Why

did you wait so long to see me or talk to me? I mean the things we shared on Tuesday night, I thought they meant something. But the

last few days all I could think about was it not being real. Like that night was a joke or something."

"No, never Alyssa. I would never want to hurt you or do anything that would cause you pain. I love you, and when I said I did, I meant

it. I've just been afriad, afraid that I wasn't enough for you, afraid that while maybe you said all of those things that night maybe just

because you felt bad and wanted to agree with me."

"I said that I love you too remember? And when I said it I meant it. You are totally enough and I couldn't imagine my life without you."

I went and sat closer to him, until our faces were just inches apart.

With my arms on his shoulders, I said, "Andy I've always like you, but that night I truly realized that I loved you. So now that we have

that straight, let's agree to never assume something about each other and to talk to each other about how we are feeling."

"Deal."

"Now it's time to seal the deal."

"Really? How do we do that?"

"Like this."

I pulled his face into mine as I kissed him. I was nice being the one to initiate things, a role that I would most likely have to play a lot.

Not that I'm complaining or anything.

He returned the kiss and went back in for another. I could feel him smiling as he kissed me. Then with our foreheads touching he took

a water bottle and then poured it on me.

"Hey what was that for?"

"I was just started the next thing on the itinerary, a water fight." He said grinning like no other

"Well, you just better be prepared because this is a water war, and when I'm done with you you'll be waving the white flag."

And with that I got up and grabbed the water gun I had noticed in his back seat and then ran off towards the water. He soon followed

sporting a similar water gun and it was game on.

We chased each other across the beach, both of us getting soaked by the other, and eventually we ended up in the water.

After he decided he had enough of me totally kicking butt in the water war we decided to lay out on the beach in the sand. The warm

sand felt good after the cool water from the ocean. We laid there with my head on his chest and our fingers intertwined. This was

something that I could get used to.

Once we dried off, we got into his truck and then he drove me back to school. He offered to drive me all the way home, but I need to

pick up my car from school. It was four o clock by now, so there wouldn't be too many people that would see me getting out of his truck

and into my car. We said goodbye and then he waited for me to pull out before he was on his way home.

He was so amazing and I couldn't believe that he planned our afternoon so perfectly. It was special because I was with him, and it

meant that he listened to me because that was the only way he would have known where to take me and what we should do.
